Pictures of our MM Back Patio/Deck Renovaition

I'm so proud of our MM DIY back patio and deck renovation. I thought you guys might appreciate it. The first picture is the before pic, and the others are after. In total, it cost about $1,950. We are pretty happy with this, considering we saw a similar pergola kit for $3,000. Here is a breakdown:

Brick Patio - $1,000. About $500 was for the bricks and the other $500 was for other supplies (sand, gravel, pads to make ground level, etc.) The bricks are really nice quality (way better than what you can get from Lowes or Home Depot). We purchased them directly from the factory.

Pergola - $200 for the wood and other supplies. DH built it with help from youtube videos

Curtains and Canopy - $300. We made all of them from painter's drop cloth. The designs are spray painted using stencils.

Rugs - $100 from Target

Furniture (one rocking chair, two chairs, one bench, one coffee table) - $100 - cheap yard sale finds, sanded, and repainted. (The coffee table was actually a tall table, and we cut the legs down to size.)

Paint for deck and pergola - $150 (This could have been cheaper. We had some color mishaps that could have been avoided if we would have gotten samples.)

Misc. - about $100 - The lights are battery operated from Etsy for about $40. Citronella candles are from dollar store for about $10. I made the outdoor cushions from cheap sleeping pillows (some old pillows from our house), covered by plastic shower curtain, then covered by nicer shower curtains from TJ Max and sprayed with this spray that makes fabric waterproof. About $50 for 6 cushions.
