Re: Wednesday randoms, anyone?

  • We're taking Tatum to see The Little Mermaid play on Saturday.  She's never even been to the movies. Fingers crossed that it goes well.

I also just bought tickets to take her to see the Annie musical in January.  That's going to be her Christmas present.
  • I may request vacation just so I can read Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire for a week.

  • I had to tell my niece and nephews goodbye last night.  I'm having so many feels.  I'm super relieved that I can have my life back and that I won't be seeing my parents and their parents for a while, but I miss those kids like crazy.

  • I just booked our flights and hotels to follow Matt Nathanson for his three CA shows at the end of October. San Francisco to Hollywood to San Diego. YASSSSSS.

I promise I'm not a groupie. Just a minor stalker.

  • DH really wants to buy a sailing kayak. I do too. We take a our friend's out sometimes and we all love it. However, they cost a pretty penny, IMO. DH is all set to do this and I am on the fence. We postponed our Disney trip until next year, because DH didn't want to cut our funds short. He says this is different because we would use the kayak over and over. I understand that, but my little sweetie is only going to be 4 for so long and I want him to experience the magic that is Disney while he is still little. :( On the other hand, those sailing kayaks are SO FUN! Decisions, decisions.

I am right there with you.

I have an office week all this week - no meetings, no court, no anything.  So I should be getting so caught up and getting so much done, but alas, no.
  • Just an FYI, I don't work in a pasture.

  • I'd really like to know how the science is done to determine what size paper towels should be dispensed from the dispensers.  One is not quite enough and two is just wasteful.  There needs to be an in between!

  • I am beyond pissed that our ED wants us all to wear a uniform at work. I kid you not. We're a museum, not a 7-11! I have a feeling my jewelry and scarves will be getting a personal upgrade because I refuse to look like a minimum wage employee. This is some bullshit. I'm also considering alternative hair coloring. I know it's juvenile but I am a creative person in a creative position and the way I dress is my primary means of expressing my flair. I am always being complimented on my appearance and my clothes and accessories. I feel like I'm being punished.

Different note, but I fell off my damn knee walker again today and landed squarely on my kneecap on a barely carpeted concrete surface. Is there any way to tell if I've chipped/broken the thing without having an xray? I can still move it but it hurts like fuuuuuuuuu and I have to ride around on it.
    :((

Common misspelling for my company name. If you work here, you should be able to spell it correctly.

Nice! Sounds like something my boss would do.
