TTC Check In

I'm getting it started for the week

Where are you at in your TTC journey?
Any testing coming up?
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
QOTW: What is going to be the hardest thing for you to give up once you get your BFP?

Any other questions or concerns you'd like to share, go right ahead

Re: TTC Check In

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Officially starting to try in September...but my husband and I were talking the other day and we may postpone it 6 month due to a move and a new job for myself....I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
Any testing coming up?   None for me
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)  We will be moving this weekend and I'll be getting ready to start a new job (which is why we might hold off on TTC, or maybe we are both nervous that September is around the corner...IDK).  Anyone else go through anything similar to holding off on TTC
QOTW: (CBH) Well me personally it's probably Diet Coke.  I'm a total addict

Any other questions or concerns you'd like to share, go right ahead
  • @aboxofchocolates there were times that we paused TTC due to job changes. I wanted to qualify for FMLA when having a baby, so we would wait until I'd been in a job long enough. That being said, it never quite worked out how we'd hoped... It ended up taking longer than expected.

Thanks for getting this started this week. It's been hectic around my house.

Where are you at in your TTC journey? C1/CD64
Any testing coming up? I tested this morning so I could call the doctor and move forward. BFN.
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I'm over this cycle. Really. Two of my friends, who started TTC about the same time as I did, have already announced. It's tough realizing that your body is all effed up from meds that you were on for years because you weren't ready for a kid. It's tougher  that your body worked just fine when you were off meds 3 years ago and WHY WON'T IT WORK NOW?!?! It's been a tough week in our house. So many feelings...

Also, my BFF from high school (who I sometimes still talk to), lost her dad suddenly while I was in CA. I missed the memorial service, but was able to go to the burial at Quantico National Cemetery right after I got back. He had a full military honor burial. It was powerful and heart-breaking, considering I was at their house all the time in middle and high school. I've been a little melancholy since then, just thinking about my life and what I have and have not done.
QOTW: What is going to be the hardest thing for you to give up once you get your BFP? Hmmm...I would have said coffee, but I think it's ok to have less than a certain amount per day. Probably the wine. I love wine. DH & I love going to local vineyards and doing tastings.

ETA: I have to wait another month. Another effing month. I get that I just had my Mirena removed and right before that I was on BCP. I do. And I know I have a lot to work on with my weight. But I'm pushing 33 and just want something to work right with my body. Just one thing. Ugh. So many feelings today.

    Married: 10/13/2013
    TTC #1: Mirena removed 5/26/2015; DH - normal SA, me - diagnosed with PCOS 8/4/2016 - on Metformin;
    BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017
  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? C5/CD9
    Any testing coming up? No
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I just had a really toxic relationship come to an end, so I'm struggling with that. I'm sort of relieved it's over, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. Break-ups are hard, even when it's just a friend or hell, even a frenemy. This person also happens to be my SIL so now we're completely estranged and I feel panicked and helpless that I won't get to see my niece (even photos of her) anymore. The flurry of emotions with all this is crazy. I forgot how much it stinks to go through a break-up.
QOTW: What is going to be the hardest thing for you to give up once you get your BFP? Probably adding onto my fitness regimen! I've already mostly given up drinking (just choosing to drink when I get my AF and then abstaining again), and I have one cup of coffee a day so that shouldn't be hard. But giving up on going farther with my running and lifting more weight will be tough for me.

    1. C4/CD6

    2. No testing this month. We're in the middle of gutting and remodeling our only bath so we're already resigned to not worrying or intentionally trying this month.

    3. The new bathroom! Our house was built in 1951 and while the kitchen is new I'm pretty sure the bathroom was original. Lots of mold, so we needed to replace either before having a baby or selling in a few years to adopt.

    4. Definitely booze. I don't drink much but just enough to miss it. Also sushi, but I'll continue to eat the cooked rolls so I don't think that'll be too bad.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? We are TTA until February 2016.

    Any testing coming up? Nope

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I quit my job on Friday, and I have been at the beach this week! I'm off BCP, but I haven't started charting yet because I haven't picked up my BBT yet. So far, I don't feel any different from not being on BCP!

QOTW: What is going to be the hardest thing for you to give up once you get your BFP? Sushi. I could eat sushi at least 2-3x/week. I love it so much! I will probably still eat cooked rolls while pregnant, but I will miss the raw stuff!

  • @GABride2010 I also love sushi!!!!  My coworker told me today he will have a plate of sushi ready for me in the waiting room, and bring it in the minute I am able to eat it!

    TTC #2 - Cycle 3 - CD33

    Any testing coming up?
    Nope

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
Just started Provera yesterday. Once AF starts, which I think will be before I'm finished with the 10 days of Provera, we'll start a Clomid cycle. My chart screwed with me last week and made me think I ovulated. Damn body.

QOTW: What is going to be the hardest thing for you to give up once you get your BFP?
I didn't have a hard time giving up anything when pregnant with DS. I had a cup of coffee if I wanted it and had a little wine if I wanted it. No big deal.

  • @lfk2013 - Sorry your cycle is giving you so much trouble and the passing of your friend's dad. Seeing those announcements from others who get pregnant immediately is rough. ((Hugs)) I'll be thinking of you, chica! <3
