How do you handle ignorance/combativeness on Facebook?
I have a "friend" on Facebook who tends to spout off at the mouth about certain topics. Typically they are hot button issues, largely in the mother/parenting realm. I'm usually able to avoid her and not engage, but she posted something the other day that was offensive to me and I'm battling on whether or not to say anything. Typically, I'm not a confrontational person. At all. However, her combativeness on this topic still has my blood boiling after three days. It's not that she's necessarily wrong, but her tone is offensive and hurtful and not at all supportive to her cause.
I know the obvious answer is to hide her if I'm not sure if I should engage, but it's a little tricky with my relationship to her.
I guess I don't really know what I'm asking, but it's really been bothering me and I think, maybe, I just needed an outlet for my frustration.

I recommend blocking her comments so they don't enrage you in the future.

I think that's what it's going to come down to. I knew that you could hide people, I just wasn't sure what the details were. Like if we post in similar local FB groups, would I see her posts and would it be obvious that I'm hiding her? I didn't realize that I could just go to their FB page and unfollow them on my news feed. I'm guessing I'll still see if I'm tagged in anything.
I'm not smart when it comes to FB sometimes.
