  In an effort to draw more people in, is there a way we could broaden this category?  I will still continue on reading the monthly read as best as I can, but we seem to only consistently get a few participants.  Maybe the category is too narrow now that the board is slower?

  We could broaden it to include all romance and urban fiction, rather than just these sub genres. Or maybe add in YA. I think those might make it a little difficult to narrow down, so maybe we could have everyone list their top 5 favorites (or want-to-reads) to compile it into a new list for voting.

  
  

  I think I've mentioned before that I follow the Vaginal Fantasy group on goodreads. Another suggestion would be to use their picks, which are a broader selection, unless people don't like a particular choice that month.

  On the list above, I like Nightfall.
  
  I like the idea of broadening the scope to add some YA/NA or even straight up fantasy into the picks.
  I'm reading A Court of Thorns and Roses now and it's fantastic. Unfortunately, it's the only book out in the series so far. Le sigh.
  
  Can I throw some other contenders into the ring for future months?
  These are all on my ever-growing TBR list, so I take no responsibility if they're awful.

  How about we do one genre a month? I can keep track of separate lists for each and then just do a vote prior to each month. Maybe we should just call it the Monthly Read or something like that, since we are going to expand the categories. Also, would anyone mind if we did a horror pick for October?

  September: UF

  October: Horror

  November: YA/NA

  December: PNR
  January: Fantasy

  I think that's a good idea!  Should we poll the board? I'm not sure how many people read the PNR posts.  Maybe if the monthly reads are active and there's an interest, we can do another PNR read regularly?  I hope the board picks up again and there's more interest. 
  
  I think a Horror read for October is definitely appropriate.

  Great! I will post something for a group read and see if we get a better response! I think from what I've seen, Nightfall is the winner for September and hopefully we will get more input for later months! I will keep track of these suggestions, too!
