Re: What's your weekend plans?

  • 1. tonight we're off to my cousin's 5 year old's birthday party.
tomorrow I'm taking the dogs to the town pool for a swim (I'm on the planning committee for the local doggy swim day at the pool in a few weeks, every year we do a test-run of the event to make sure our set-up will work and any changes we've made to rules (leashes on/off, etc) are feasible). they'll shut the chlorine off tonight it'll be down to safe doggy levels by morning, we'll have to be out of the pool by 10 am so they can get chlorine back up to human levels when the pool opens at noon.
    Sunday we have no plans

    2. I'm hoping to just make progress on various projects around the house, weeding the garden, working on baby knitting/quilting projects. hopefully our only expenses will be grocery shopping and maybe one night out for a nice dinner for my birthday.

    1. Tonight, is definitely a wine night. Tomorrow we'll stop by H's grandmother's estate sale, and then go to dinner and a soccer game to celebrate our dating anniversary. Sunday I have a haircut and will probably run errands and get ready for the work week.

    2. We've been bad the last three weeks, eating out way too much and not watching the budget closely. We've still be able to put more than $5,250 towards debt though this month, and hope to move over at least $3,000 more from the cash we're holding in reserve should the bathroom go over budget, so I can't say we aren't at least making some forward progress!

  • 1) Study, clean, study, clean.  Boring.

    2) After our big stock-up grocery run last week, we don't have much left to buy.  Just staying the course with that.

  • 1. Packing things up at my parents house, the closing should be on Thursday next week! Need to pick up a few more items for the house. Maybe go see a movie with free tickets, or swim as it's going to be 90

    2. Only buy necessities as we are closer to the closing

  • 1. Supposed to be date night, but I'm home sick at the moment. Trying to rally to go in for half a day then maybe another nap before dinner and redbox at home with a build your own 6-pack. But I'd say it's a 60% chance right now we just push date night. Tomorrow DH has a golf tournament with his friends and then we're going to the end of tournament BBQ. I am hoping to complete my first sewing project while he's gone: a pillow slipcover.

    2. DH sold a bunch of stuff and used some blow money for his golf tournament. We might bring some cookies to the BBQ using pantry staples. I'm buying fabric with my blow money. And we've priced out our date night. We have $50 in the budget and we expect to spend about $35-38 for dinner then $9 for the 6-pack and $2 for the redbox. Then groceries on Sunday need to be about $70 to stay on track there.
  • 1. My H works all weekend so it is just me and the kids. Our town festival is this weekend so tonight we will have dinner at home and go to the free car show and walk around town. Tomorrow we have a soccer game and a library visit, then it is yard work around our house and cleaning. Depending on the time I might take kids to the local splash pad/park for the afternoon. Sunday is more yard work and the parade at 1.

2.I have to do the grocery store sometime so that should only be around $90. I am planning a lot of free stuff this weekend and making sure to eat before we go places. That always seems to be our biggest downfall.

  • 1. What are your plans for this weekend? Saturday morning I have a massage (yay!), then my cousin's bridal shower, then my future-sister-in-law's grad party. Sunday is free, but hopefully going shopping with my mom to find looser, light-weight shorts for our trip (anyone have recommendations on where to look?).

    2. What are you going to do this weekend to keep yourself on budget and on track? It will help that we will be eating at parties on Saturday and have meat to grill on Sunday, so hopefully we won't spend $ on eating out. The massage is budgeted as is the shower gift. The shorts probably exceed the budget, but a personal issue has resurfaced and looser shorts could make or break my experience of the trip.

  • 1.  We are headed up to Maine on a diving trip with some friends!  Very excited.

    2.  We are renting a house and plan to cook all meals there among the group.  We're also driving up early tomorrow instead of driving halfway and spending the night in Portland like we originally planned.  Finally, we found a friend to watch our dog that we can pay in gift cards, which is much cheaper than the kennel we sometimes use.  I did a spreadsheet of expected expenses and they shouldn't be no problem to cash flow.
  • 1) 30th birthday party at a friend's house and no plans for Sunday yet. Maybe beach? :)

    2) Both things should be pretty low budget minus whatever we bring for food and paying for transportation.

  • 1. What are your plans for this weekend?  Housework, housework, and more housework.  Possibly some yardwork too.
Sunday we're having friends over to grill out, relax, and play with the kiddos in the pool.

    2. What are you going to do this weekend to keep yourself on budget and on track?
Meal plan.  I need to get back on track with it. So I'll be checking out our pantry, and planning accordingly with my grocery shopping.

  • 1. What are your plans for this weekend?
    - Work. It's my last Saturday! Woooooo!! My niece will be staying at my parents' house this weekend, so we'll be on FaceTime quite a bit. That's it!

    2. What are you going to do this weekend to keep yourself on budget and on track?
    - Working. Haha
  • 1. What are your plans for this weekend?  Today we're going to my mom's house for a family BBQ.  I'm in charge of bringing a salad and dessert.  Tonight we'll probably just hang out at home and take the dogs for a walk.  Sunday is my errand day, so I'll go grocery shopping, laundry, etc.  It's also my grandma's birthday so we'll go spend some time with her.  Hunting season started for H so he will probably be coming and going this weekend.

    2. What are you going to do this weekend to keep yourself on budget and on track?  Supplies for the BBQ will be included in the regular grocery budget.  I might get my grandma some little thing for her birthday, but she is in a nursing home so she doesn't have room for much.  It should be a pretty low-spend weekend for us.  Gas for H to drive out of town to his hunting spot, but the rest of the stuff (licenses, gear, etc.) has been paid for a long time ago.
  • 1. What are your plans for this weekend? Friday- day off with the girls and DH. Saturday - groceries, cleaning the house, laundry, dinner with DH's parents. DD#1's 5th birthday party is on Sunday- she turns 5 on Monday!

    2. What are you going to do this weekend to keep yourself on budget and on track? Grocery bill is what it is- we have very little waste each week and DD#1's party is all set so all we have to do is hope for good weather and have a fun time.

2 - we aren't doing much that involves spending this weekend so expect it to be great.
