I really need to...

...switch doctors. Mine is so hard to switch appointments. It's so frustrating. Had a nurses appointment on the 25. Then they call me and say I have to change it since I missed their stupid parenting class so the appointment has to be longer. Now I don't even see the freaking nurse until the 1st of September. I guess it doesn't matter since the nurses appointment won't tell me anything. It's just gah, irritating. If I didn't love my doctor so much, I'd be gone

Re: I really need to...

  • Might be worth mentioning that to your doctor when you see them. :(

  • They want you to take a parenting class before the give you appointments? I've never heard of that before. I agree maybe you should look into switching doctors. Sorry they are giving you a hard time.

  • Sorry.  Our parenting classes were optional?
  • Our doctor said nothing about them.

They are more of a "what to expect when you're expecting" type of informational thing. I don't understand why it can't be part of my nurses appointment. Plus, don't bombard me with information first thing, it'll just overwhelm me. I only want to know information that pertains to the first trimester right now.

When I scheduled my appointments, I told them I couldn't make the class. It starts at 7pm, is at another office that is 45 minutes from where I live and last an hour and half. I'm in bed by 8pm and am up at 4am.

I just hate dealing with disorganization and this office is horrible. I am for sure going to say something to my doctor especially since I have issues all the time with his office staff being really rude to me. Add being sick, pregnancy hormones and anxiety about being able to hear a heartbeat at my 11 week appointment, I'm sort of a mess right now.

    Ok. Vent over.

  • I agree on mentioning to your doctor. Neither of my doctors (in OK or CO) had a parenting class. Both went over basic stuff at the fist appointment and gave me a packet of information. The first appointment was about an hour due to everything they cover.

Sorry it's been so frustrating for you. Hugs!

  • I think they do it to save time at appointments, since it's in a group setting. It just annoyed me that I told them I couldn't make it, and they still didn't schedule a long enough appointment. Then, I got attitude from the secretary when I told them I needed an appointment after one since I work first shift.

Gah, like I said, I love my doctor just not this office.
