Backstory: I had my Mirena removed at the end of May after getting the all clear from my rheumatologist. At that time, I told my OB/GYN that we were going to start TTC. She said ok, call after 60 days if you don't have a period and have BFNs.
I called at the end of July. I was told, again, that it could take several months for my cycles to return to normal and to call again at the end of August.
I called again today as I still haven't had a period and continue to have BFNs (I may be single-handedly keeping the makers of the Wondfo cheapies in business). The nurse said that the doctor (who is out today) wrote down that it could take several months to get my cycle back, but that she would check with the doctor when she's in tomorrow as to what she wants to do.
Now, I'm not a pushy person. I tend to be timid when it comes to standing up for myself. But I am at my limit for waiting. This show needs to get on the road. With that said, would you, oh wise GPers, if your doctor came back again and said wait, push back and say no more waiting?
Re: WWGPD?
I've been on BCP off and on since I was 16. When I was off it between 2004 and 2006, I was irregular. When I went off it between October 2011 and August 2012, I had started becoming more regular (my last cycle before going back on BCP was 34 days). After that, I was with DH and then started going to a rheumatologist.

Irregular, I think, is subjective because during that time I was almost always bleeding. That was before I was diagnosed with anemia, though. I could tell when it was actually a period because it was "normal-looking" as opposed to what it was.
I've known it's not good. I've been temping and my temps are all over the place. Not to mention, the OPKs are always the same (a light 2nd line), which is why I keep testing.

So my doctor called. I am going in for blood work (she said to test my thyroid, but I'm sure there will be other things tested) and will be starting on progesterone soon thereafter. She said because my cycle has been so long and I was on BCP for so long in the past, she wants to start on this course now and see what the result is in 3 months.
At least there is now a plan.
