"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

  • I'm skeptical. I never felt that she a very well-developed character, so I'll be surprised if she has that significant of a role.

Also, re: "she could be the prophesized third head of the dragon..." Unless Jon Snow actually stays dead, we already have three living Targaryens. Everyone seems to forget about Aegon.

Umm...I've forgotten who this is. The only other Targaryen I can think of Aemon, and he died.

Aegon was Rhaegar's son who was allegedly killed during the sack of King's Landing. However, in A Dance with Dragons he is introduced as one of the people traveling down the river with Tyrion and Varys, and Varys claims to have smuggled him safely out of King's Landing. By the end of the book, he has taken charge of one of the groups of mercenaries and sailed back to Westeros.

SPOILERS FOR FUTURE BOOKS (Thanks, HBO!)

...However, the fact that his character was completely written out of the show is a pretty strong indication that he's probably not actually Aegon.

  • I'm curious if this is a theory that people think are going to come out in future books or if they're just for the show.  If it's just for the show then I don't care.
