With all the babies being added to our Jan 12 family, I thought it would be nice to have a tips and tricks thread for everyone.
I read a lot online that moms loved the mesh underwear after delivery. I hated them! I ordered this sample for home use. I am so glad I did. I wore them at the hospital and was much more comfortable. The Dr. even complimented me.

If you sign up at Similac and Enfamil websites, they will send you full size samples of formula. I am breastfeeding, but ordered it just in case it didn't work. I am so happy I did because we are supplementing and I didn't have to rush out to buy expensive stuff. Plus it gives us a chance to try different kinds.

I bought a diaper genie. I has read after I bought it that moms felt it was a waste. A garbage can with a lid could do the same thing. Oh well. One thing we do to help save a little money is that pee diapers go into a normal garbage can that goes out frequently. Stinky diapers go in the diaper genie that goes out when its full. Then we aren't taking it out as freunetly, hoping making the times stretch before changing the bag. They are kind of expensive.
Buy gripe water and gas drops before baby comes. Trust me, you will thank me later.
What else can we do say to help out new mommas?
Re: Tips and Tricks
Go buy something at Motherhood Maternity and register for their rewards, you get a free Advent bottle! Free bottles are awesome because you never know which bottle your little one will like.
Also sign up to recieve mail from babies r us. They often have coupons for a free Dr. Brown bottle with purchase. Those bottles aren't cheap.

A humidifier should also be your best friend. If you don't have one either turn your shower on hot and sit in a steamy bathroom or you can boil water and put a towel over your head and breathe in steam that way.
For a cough and sore throat you can use Halls, as nasty as they are they work.
We had the arm and hammer diaper genie and I loved it. I found I was taking out my regular trash can of dirty diapers just as often as the diaper genie when our genie broke. So planning to get another genie for next baby. I thought it controlled the smell better.
Definitely register for rewards and sign up for coupons. I get texts from target for baby deals every few weeks. For stuff like formula, diapers and baby food.
I'm also wondering if I can get those Targeet coupons even though it's baby #2. I'll have to ask.
I got a text this week on the current Target baby coupons. I can forward to anyone who wants it. It includes $1 off a box of Pampers and a few others.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
It's easy money!
