Amazon 1-Click Settings

Anyone know how to actually turn this OFF? I went to my one click settings, and clicked on the turn off everywhere button, but when I go to purchase a Kindle book, my only option is...buy now with one click.

It's making me stabby. :-q

Re: Amazon 1-Click Settings

  • I see now that I can't turn off one click ordering for digital content. But I have a credit I'd like to apply. I guess it gets automatically applied to whatever my next purchase is?

  • I had to change the settings in my kindle because I apparently just had to click 'Buy' and no password, nothing, because Jude was carrying around my kindle and pretending it was his laptop and all of a sudden, we got receipts for several books. lol.

We got a good laugh because one of them was something like "How to ace a job interview in 3 easy questions!" Was Jude trying to send me a message? "We are in SCHOOL now mom, get a job!"

  • Yeah, I hate the one-click, too, but I think you're stuck with it for Kindle.  I get a little terrified when DD plays with my phone, because God forbid she finds the Amazon app.
  • So, the credit did get applied to my next order. It kind of sucks that you don't actually get to choose how it's applied, aside from making sure whatever you buy next is what you want the discount on.

  • The only work around I could figure out was to remove all credit cards on file. Kind of a PITA, but it will help avoid making an unintended purchase.

I found the same thing.  It ended up applying it to something I wanted, but it's kind of ridiculous that you can't choose.
