  • There were a few in there that I've never heard of, but I only missed one.

  • I'd never heard of The Mittens or read Hatchet, but guessed based on the covers for those two.

  • I got a 78%!
There were a few I've never heard of.  And all the HP covers look the same to me.
  • I got 2 wrong, and sadly, one was the HP cover.
I agree with @SusieBW The first 3 look the same to me.

Along the Children's Books theme, have you all read this?

  • I missed two, including Harry Potter.  If anyone needs me I'll be eating my shame in a corner somewhere.

  • I only got the HP cover right because of sorting my bookshelves by color. Chamber of Secrets is "the red one!"

That said... I have the paperback, which is has that red and green harlequin pattern, so it's actually shelved in the green section. Which continues to irritate me.

  • I only guessed the Chamber of Secrets because I saw the basilisk on the cover.  Otherwise I'd have no freakin' clue

This is off topic - but when you sort your bookshelves by color, series books get split up?  I couldn't abide that, I don't think.  I don't have enough books anymore to be worth sorting by color, but I would need to keep the series together, I think.
  • I missed the HP one too and I just finished re-reading that book!  I'm probably going to be banned from the group.

My series books are all together on a separate shelf.

They're split, but it doesn't really bother me. I only have two IKEA Billy bookshelves, so it's not hard to remember what's where. Also, most of my fiction books are unread, because I give them away once I've read them. For the few series I've kept, it's not like I'm going to forget which books make up Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, or the Lord of the Rings.

I might not be normal, though. XH was extremely skeptical that I could find anything, so last time he was over I asked him to test me by picking two random titles off the shelf to see how long it would take me to find them. When I could tell him off the top of my head that my Hungarian phrasebook had a silver gray cover, which would put it about three shelves from the bottom, he conceded the point.

  • I got them all, but I think that's mostly because I worked in daycare for 8 years, and read almost all of these daily.
