I've been thinking about you. How did preschool go this week? Were you able to find a new school or will you be sticking with the same one?

Sorry for the delay. I was having trouble logging in with my phone. Liliana did really well Tuesday and Wednesday, she napped both days. But I am still not impressed with them. I toured a great school on Tuesday during my lunch break. It was a fantastic school. It is a national chain called The Learning Experience. It would be $35 more per week than the school we have her in now. It comes to $733 a month. Crazy expensive but it might be worth it. They have sign language, spanish, yoga, and an excellent curriculum. It is 6 minutes down the highway from my school in the opposite direction from my home, so Liliana would be in the car for 43 minutes each way.

She was offically asked not to return today. I got a long email saying some pretty terrible things. The director claims all she does all day long is cry and disrupt the other kids from learning. This is first time I'm hearing that she has cried besides at nap time. She supposedly doesn't partake in activities at the table but every worksheet is always colored and the craft is completed. WTF? The director had one excuse after another when I questioned her. I got her stuff, demaned a refund for tomorrow's dues that I already paid and I also got my registration fee back. I'm glad I saved money but I feel so terrible. The worst part is Liliana doesn't know she won't be going back there. I will probably start her at the new school Monday but I have no clue how she will react being dropped off at a place she has never seen before. Ugh! I just want to cry (again!)

I am so sorry that happened. I know it is going to be hard on both of you. It really sounds you are much better off going to the new school. I worked in daycare for 6 years and never had anything like this happen. They have to be doing something to provoke her. Kids don't just react like that. Keeping my FX for you that this new school is the one for Liliana.

I"m sorry that you had a bad experience, but it really is best that you are getting out of there now. They obviously have no clue about child development, or how to communicate when there are problems. It seems as if they don't want to deal with her, for some reason, and are looking for reasons to get her to leave. I take it they are an independent place? If not, I'd go higher and complain higher than what you already did.

I know it sucks but it sounds like L is going to be going to a place that actually cares for her.

Thanks everyone. I found a different school on my way to and from my job!!!!! And I love it. I actually love it more than the expensive one. This one is about $75 cheaper per month and Liliana will not have to be in the car longer than 30 minutes. When I asked what they will do if she has a temper tantrum they said they will give her love and affection. They will hold her if needed. They will redirect her or take her out of the room if needed. I am pleased with this answer. I really hope this place works. She starts Monday.

Liliana had 3 successful days at her new school! I love it so much more than the other school! This is where my baby belongs. Things happen for a reason.
