N0S4A2 (NS)

I have had this on my shelf for a couple of years but have avoided it because I hated the title/didnt really know how to say it. I finally started it and IT IS SO GOOD.

blah blah blah, judging a book by it's cover, I've heard it all before. Just wanted to share :)

    This!
  • Remember that post last week about obvious stuff that you didn't realize right away?

I've had a copy of N0S4A2 on my Kindle to-read list for years (still haven't read it), and I'd never actually tried to say the title in my head until the October monthly book poll. I'd just thought of it as the "N-bunch-of-letters-and-numbers" book. D'oh.

  • I loved this book. Joe Hill is SO his father's son! Unfortunately I didn't much care for Horns.

  • I loved Horns, but I couldn't believe how terrible the movie was.

Oh really? It's on my Neflix queue. Should I not even bother?

Eh, I might skip it honestly.  However, it may be something that you want to experience for yourself.  I talked about the book to J when I was reading so I was talking up the movie too before it came in from the library.  I know sometimes you have to explain nuances between the book and the movie to people, but I spent the movie swearing to J that the book was not this bad.

In fact, did they even release it in theaters in the US? It was a Canadian film, I think?

I remember seeing trailers here but it definitely wasn't out long.

You shouldn't be! I read over 3/4ths of
Salem's Lot before realizing what it was about. I like to pretend it speaks well to SKs writing that I was sucked into the mystery!

  • Ok, I just finished it and LOVED IT.

It is hilariously similar to SK's writing, though, right? If it were't SK's son, I would be like "this dude took a page from SK's book..." but I can't even complain because he literally shares DNA.
