Nightfall (sp) September Discussion

What did you think?

Were Mason and Jenna a good match?

Was the world believable? Techno-crash and zombie animals are what I remember most. Will you read the next two?

Also, next month is The Three by Sarah Lotz!

Re: Nightfall (sp) September Discussion

  • I thought it was okay. I felt like the world had such potential and it didn't really live up to it. The world building wasn't as strong as it could have been. It was sort of like a Paranormal Romance meets the Walking Dead, but with dogs. I really wanted Chris the scientist to figure the science/magic/whatever out.

I think Mason and Jenna were sort of forced on each other rather than choosing, but oh well. I guess in the unexplained apocalypse, options are limited.

The animal shifter bits were over the top; it seemed like only the 'good' people were supposed to survive and everyone else should have just died. Since there was no real explanation for any of it, that made no sense to me.

I did read the next two, to find out what happened to the other characters, but I honestly wouldn't recommend them. I mean, they have a Happily Ever After, it's just the WTF to get there that I found super questionable.
