  • To the delight of many, I'm finally reading Throne of Glass.

    Listening to Call the Midwife.

Enjoying both but still in the early parts.

The Diviners still :( I feel like I will be reading it for a while.

The Luckiest Girl Alive. I just started this yesterday so I don't have a real feel for it yet.

They are books 19 and 20 for the year.

  • I just started The Three last night for the October read. #83

I'm also listening to the latest Pys/Changing - Shards of Hope #84

  • I'm reading The Heir, still.  I want my free time back.  It is #69 for the year.

I'm listening to The King of Plagues it is #70 and it's really good. I've gotten sucked into this series.

  • I'm feeling very NBCish with my current books:

Listening to The Three, and loving it so far.  Is anyone else planning to listen to it?  I'm going to want to talk about it as I'm going.  I don't know if I can wait til the end of the month!

Reading The Library at Mount Char.  I'm about 20% in and still kind of trying to sort the whole thing out.  It reminds me a lot of Neil Gaiman so far.

These are 48 and 49 for the year.
  • I have been in a bit of reading slump. I think I might try to finish out the Fables graphic novel series. I think I'm around 160 for the year.

  • @SnShne322 You will have to report back on the psy/changeling! I saw it recently, but the last few after Kiss of Snow have been a little underwhelming.

I'll let you know! I'm think the problem is that she left the Changelings too long.  Too many Psy main characters.  They just aren't as gripping.

  • I am reading Throne of Glass as well. Really liking it so far. My library hold on To All the Boys I've Loved Before came in yesterday too, but I haven't started it yet.

    I really enjoyed this one!

  • I'm maybe 60% into The Name of the Wind. It's finally picking up steam for me, so I'm enjoying it a bit more than the first half.

  • Queen of Shadows, finally! Loving it so far. I feel like it's back to what I loved about the series that I didn't feel as much in book 3.

I'm also listening to Ceremony in Death (In Death #5) by JD Robb. Love it too.

@SusieBW,  I'm planning to listen to or read The Three next, but I'm sort of waiting until after I fly to Minnesota next weekend and get back on safe ground. I know the book deals with plane crashes and I don't need that paranoia in my brain while I'm up in the air.

How do you like the narration?

Who's the author? Is it related to the show?  I just started watching it, but I can only find series companions on Goodreads.  I didn't know if it was based on a novel or not.

    ETA: I found it!

@SusieBW I have the audiobook but I was going to read the actual book. Maybe I'll give the audiobook a try.

I like it a lot!  There are two narrators, one for the men and one for the women, and they're both British, but they do all the different accents, so it kind of feels like a cast.  The only things catching me up are the fact that there are so many characters and POVs, it's taken me the whole first 3 CDs to keep everyone straight (but the various accents help with that, I think), and the fact that the American accents all sound just a little bit off.

I started talking about the book to my friends last night and the one who has about 4 trips coming up in the next few months immediately tuned out when I said it was about plane crashes.
