Weekend Reading

What did you start, finish, make progress on, or neglect?

Did you do anything fun?

Re: Weekend Reading

  • I finished Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter.  I started and got about halfway through Missoula and read a few pages in Kate Beaton's new Hark! A Vagrant! collection.

We finally went to see The Martian this weekend and it was as great as I had hoped it would be.

  • I made good progress on The Bronze Horseman, largely because I went out and got a pedicure on Sunday Morning.  That was probably the highlight of my weekend.  We didn't do much at all.

    A pedicure sounds HEAVENLY.

It was pretty nice, I'm not going to lie.  I'm going away for a girls weekend this coming weekend, and DH is away all this week, so this past weekend was the only time I was going to get to go.
  • I reread "A Wrinkle in Time" and made progress on "Medici's Daughter" by Sophie Perinot.

The weekend was really nice and relaxing even though we didn't do a lot.

  • I finished The Martian, read A Streetcar Named Desire, and started on my elf gift of Library of Souls. :D

Nothing in particular this weekend, just general errands and housecleaning. Whee.

  • I finished The Raven Boys. I really liked it once I hit the middle.

I started The Three, but I am only about 4% into it. I don't get much Kindle time on the weekends.

I started and got through about 90 pages of Save Me which is Nicholas Sparks newest.

Nothing really fun this weekend besides our library stop. It was cold and there was good football on Saturday and I had to get ahead in homework so that was our weekend. next weekend is the last one that wont have plans on it for the next couple months.

This was most of our late summer and early fall.  It was exhausting.  I feel for you.  It's fun to have stuff going on and fun things to do, but it can just be so draining!  I feel old just writing this comment.
  • I read a little of Crown of Midnight and am almost finished P.S. I Love You.  I am in a bit of a reading slump lately. :( Nothing is catching my interest.

  • I finished The Library at Mount Char. I started listening to The Pleasure Palace this morning.

Yes. DD got to stay in her pajamas yesterday because I refused to get us dressed. She thought it was hilarious and I loved it because we don't get many weekends like that anymore between family wanting to see us and play dates.

  • I worked on Happily Ever After, Selection Stories, it was great and fluffy and I enjoyed it more than I'd care to admit to anyone but you ladies.

  • I neglected reading all weekend.  We were so busy I just didn't have time.  We had a cheer competition, playoff baseball game, hibachi with friends, movies...we weren't home much.

I did stay up last night until 1am reading though.  I started Dancing on Broken Glass and couldn't put it down.  I had to stop at page 229, hoping to finish it tonight.
