  • Finally a weekend where we are not busy for 3 days.  Tonight we are eating at the house watching the baseball game.  Saturday I play a late afternoon wedding.  Last one of the busy season!  So excited for a break :)  Other than that I'm not sure what else we will do.  I would like to steam clean the family room and hallway carpet.  Also hang some photos up on the hallway upstairs.

    Happy Birthday! Enjoy!

  • Friday- grocery shopping, cleaning

Saturday- DMV to register our vehicles and get IL DLs. Woo! (haha)

Sunday- going to my parents' to hook up their surround sound system and to see my niece.
  • Happy birthday @hoffse!

Friday - Going to Costco after work and attempting to not spend ALL of my spending money haha!  We need kcups diet coke and vitamins, so hopefully I can limit it to that and maybe a few food items.

Saturday - During the day just housework, we need to clean up our basement.  It has lots of dead bugs in it (it's unfinished).  I want to set up a workout area down there but don't want to look at dead moths.  We have a hockey game in the evening, so we might go out to dinner before that, we'll see.

Sunday - we are driving up to Laramie to watch H's nephew play in a football game.  He's on an All-Star team for his city and they're playing in a tournament all weekend long.  He's 11 but from what I've heard, it's pretty competitive football.
  • @hoffse Happy Birthday!

We actually have no set plans. But we do have a list of things we need to get done.  So there's that.

Friday - work from home, get DD#1 off the school bus, pick up DD#2 at day care. Make dinner, hang out. Once the girls are sleeping, lay out their quilt blocks (all 112 blocks are done!) and get them pinned to sew together.

Saturday- My parents come out to visit the girls. DH and I will be outside cleaning up the yard: take down the trellis, rake, mow the lawn (hopefully for the last time). Buy pumpkins and carve them. Clean bathrooms, kitchen. Dinner with DH's parents. Once the girls are sleeping, sew together the quilt fronts.

Sunday - Go to Paula's Donuts with the girls and get a treat for our 9:30 AM Bills game, meal prep, laundry, relax. Once the girls are sleeping, get the quilt backs ready and they'll be good to go to the long arm quilter.

    Happy Birthday @hoffse!

  • Tonight: Relax at home

Tomorrow:  I am leading a workshop for work, and then we will hopefully either relax or have a cheap/fun date afternoon the rest of the day

Sunday:  No major plans except church and the Patriots game, but we also have to rip out the carpet from our office in preparation for installation on Monday.  Hooray for smelly carpet destruction!  Also, since we're talking MM stuff here, we ended up getting a $50 gift card from HD back on the carpet since they scheduled our installation outside of the agreed upon window.  H is very excited to turn this into a leaf blower, as we are surrounded by gigantic oaks and maples on all sides.

Happy birthday @hoffse!  Don't be too financially responsible today :-)

Lol - there's a pair of black riding boots at the DSW I've been eyeing for awhile.  I told H I was going to buy myself a birthday gift on the way home from work :)

    Friday - Pizza night
Saturday - Oil change, playdate at a new park, grocery shopping
Sunday - Church, helping in Sunday school, MIL coming over for dinner

    ETA Happy birthday @hoffse !
  • Fri - bought tickets to a dog costume party and wine tasting at the animal shelter.  The wine is donated so all proceeds go to the animal shelter.

Sat - church, cleaning, yardwork.  There are a lot of things I would like to do, we'll see how many can fit into the schedule.

Sun - bought tickets to a football watching party with buffet to benefit the children's hospital.

  • @csuave you win cutest Friday night activity!
  • Fri - the last couple of Fridays I have come home from work and said "I don't want to cook....and  I don't want to go out" and since the grocery budget it low this month I splurged on some sushi takeout for dinner.  Now we are just watching TV and going to bed early.

Sat - We have a morning session with the dog trainer.  Chores and yoga during the day. Saturday night my parents are coming over for chicken piccata.

Sun - teach yoga in the morning, finish any chores/cooking that is needed in the afternoon.  I plan to cook crockpot chicken tacos, squash soup, and homemade pizza dough this weekend - plus probably some muffins or egg muffins for breakfasts for mon/tue/wed.
  • Late to the party, but here is what I did over the last weekend

Friday -- I only work half days on Fridays anyway (4 9s and 4 schedule), and decided to take it off.  It was so glorious!  I slept in.  Vegged on daytime court shows half the day.  Finished a novel I've been reading.  Plus I am so rarely home by myself.  I run on high octane most of the time and just really needed this.  I felt so relaxed and refreshed.

I've decided I need to start doing this once a month in months that don't have any holidays.

Saturday -- p/t morning job, trimmed my dog, general cleaning up

Sunday -- Watched some football, big Costco run, baked up a flatbread pizza we bought there
