What did you start, finish, make progress on, or neglect this weekend?

I finished Forgiven by Terri Roberts (from @menrandes - it was beautiful and I cried through 99% of it. It's the perfect book if you want to feel like humanity isn't actually all that bad - but it's from a very religious standpoint, so that might put some off). I also finished Missoula, In A Dark, Dark Wood, and The Shadow Hero.

We had a hard weekend. Our baby Chiefer (in my sig pic) didn't make it. It turned out to be an inoperable tumor and we had to put him to sleep. It was super sad, but I'm glad he's not suffering anymore. Our other dog hasn't seemed to notice yet, but is relishing all the attention he's been getting. I've gone back and forth between being heartbroken and knowing we did everything we could and being glad that he didn't suffer long.

Read some of The Three. I need to really get off the computer and read so I can finish.

Went to a corn maze with DH's family and an engagement party for my brother. Exhausting weekend.

I am so sorry Julie.

I gave up on The Three. I just couldn't get into it. I will still check out the discussion here.

I finished See Me by Nicholas Sparks. It was just ok as most of his are for me now.

I started Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

We went to the Apple Orchard festival yesterday and shopping and a trunk or treat Friday night.

I finished 'Spirit of the Highway' and started 'The Good Girl'.

J had soccer practice on Saturday morning and then she went to my ILs for awhile. DH and I went mattress shopping (so painful). On Sunday we just hung out around the house.

@julie37619 , I'm so so sorry about Chief. Losing a pet is so hard.

I started The Bat by Jo Nesbo. So far so good.

I had girls weekend in Burlington VT. It was lots of fun.

I worked on The Heir, it is really good, I just have been doing house projects on the weekend so I don't read much at all. I hope to finish it tonight.

I finished Between the Lines by Tammara Webber. I'm annoyed with the book. Even though I'm curious about the characters in the subsequent books, I just don't think I can read them.

I made very little progress on Six of Crows. I read about 50 pages today so far, but I'm just meh on it so far. It has potential, but it's not doing anything with it right now.

I'm trying, I really am! It's picking up a little, but it's still not blowing me away. I'm a little over half done.
