Dead Wednesday
We all have that one relative who likes to jump to conclusions when reading things on facebook. I was thinking last night about the facebook status updates that I suppress because they would freak out my mother because she wouldn't get the reference/humor in the statement. I thought it might be fun to share some of the things we've wanted to share and how that one relative might react if we did post (or the ones where you forgot to edit yourself and sent that person into a tizzy). Here are a couple of examples:
Me: That's great. It starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes and aeroplanes...Lenny Bruce is not afraid...
Mom: You had an earthquake?? Are you ok? I didn't hear about any earthquakes where you live. And who is Lenny?
Me: Did anyone get the license plate number of the truck that hit me today?
Mom: Are you ok?? What happened??
(True story. I was referring to feeling sick...you know, like I got run over by a truck? Yep, she missed it.)
Me: (Shares image with a pithy saying on it)
Mom: I don't get it.
And...go!!
ETA: I changed the title of the post because that's basically today on the board. Womp womp.
