Weekend Plans?

TGIF!

What are your weekend plans?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Friday- Not too much, maybe organizing the house a little bit. H is working an extra shift until 8PM

Saturday- Leaves! We have a lot of leaves to pick up. Then going to the mall to browse for a new Xmas tree, vacuum, and maybe some furniture. Out to dinner with a Chili's gift card that our realtor had given us

Sunday- Our friend's father died early October and he didn't do the usual funeral because his father wanted it to be a celebration of life, so we are going to the Casino's high roller bowling alley for a few hours for some fun with their family/friends to honor his dad. Maybe a little more housework in between.

  • No big plans. We'll probably go out to dinner tonight and hopefully go on coffee walks on Saturday and Sunday morning. H thinks he'll be working most of the weekend to get caught up from all of the World Series craziness happening here in Kansas City.

@jessica490 I feel you on the leaves! Our are crazy. We have four 60+ year old trees and a small yard. It's pretty but no fun. H mows in the Spring and Summer, so the leaves are my responsibility.

  • friday- an evening of laundry and sorting through baby clothes

saturday- painting the nursery, break for a pedicure (given I can't actually reach my feet right now I'm calling this a need, not a want)

Sunday- painting/assembly of nursery. and an afternoon yoga retreat.

  • It's our last day of vacation, BOOOO! H's parents are coming in town this afternoon, so I'm going up to my aunt and uncle's in order to escape the crazy. I don't really know what they have planned, but I'm going to dinner tonight with my cousin and I'm leaving the rest of the weekend up to my family. I'll come home Sunday night to get ready for work on Monday.
  • Friday - H and my dad are going to the local high school football playoff game, and my mom and I are going shopping. Win-win.

Saturday - outdoor cleanup at church in the morning, outdoor cleanup at home in the afternoon if we have the energy/willpower, and in the evening my parents are coming over to look at our photos from Europe.

Sunday - church then a surprise party for a good family friend's 80th birthday. Hopefully grocery shopping for the week sometime after.

Friday - work from home, get DD#1 off the bus, pick up DD#2, make dinner (marinated chicken for quesadillas), hang out. The girls have been really into board games so I see an epic marathon of candyland happening.

Saturday- take the girls to DH's parents' house. DH and I are off to lunch and an afternoon hockey game as an early x-mas gift from DH's parents. Really looking forward to it- we haven't been to a Sabres game since I was pregnant with DD#2. Have pizza dough rising for dinner once we get home. Laundry.

Sunday- grocery shop, meal prep for the week. Hopefully clean gutters and rake again if it isn't raining. Relax a bit and get ready for Monday.

  • Friday night and Sunday I'll be teaching a dive class.  Fun, and good money, but so wish I could just relax!

Saturday we'll do the farmer's market, the gym, relaxing, and working on the house a bit.
  • Tonight: Cooking like a mad woman
Tomorrow: Set up at an event with Tastefully Simple (hence the cooking), then going to dinner for our friends' birthday (the cheapass in me doesn't want to go spend the money).
Sunday: A friends little girls' 1st birthday party.  They live over an hour away and it's at noon, so we will have to skip church. :-(  But we're hanging out for dinner afterwards, so it will be a nice day.

  • Friday: I worked until 11 pm last night, so hoping I  don't have such a late night tonight.  We have tickets to hear Beethoven's 9th.  They're doing the full chorus with it and everything.  Should be pretty great.

Saturday: Desperately need to clean the house then going over to one of H's client's homes for some football in the evening.

Sunday: Probably going to see a movie - either The Martian or Bridge of Spies.  We're going to save Spectre for a less popular weekend.

  • Tonight- We're going to see Jerry Seinfeld which was H's birthday gift from me and going to dinner.

Saturday- I might go over to my sister's and help her with some house projects they're doing while H works. Then Saturday night probably having a girls night with a friend! And hopefully pick up some running shoes while I'm out and about.

Sunday- Cleaning, laundry and relaxing. :)

This sounds amazing! I wish we lived closer to a decent orchestra.

  • Tonight we're headed to a hockey game, then out for dinner after (I know, late dinner!).  We usually go with some other hockey friends to a sushi place that has a late night happy hour menu.  I usually have some of the apps because I don't like sushi.

Tomorrow will be housework and laundry, work out, grocery store, and I need to go to Crate and Barrel to return a bathroom scale we received 2 of from our wedding registry.  The plan is to exchange it for a large platter I can use for turkey on Thanksgiving.

No Sunday plans other than maybe some more chores, which is how I like it.  Might attempt to start tackling the guest room to get it organized.

Yeah we have a surprisingly legit music scene here, and our orchestra is actually employed full-time, which is pretty great.  They have more than 25 concerts per season. They are doing the Messiah with the full chorus during the week we are out of the country for Christmas, and I'm super bummed to miss it.  But we have tickets to the New Year's Eve concert!

We splurged on season tickets last May, but I'm really glad we did it.  The venue is about a mile for our offices, so we take these opportunities to have a date night downtown before heading to the concert.  We are definitely planning to do it again for next season.

  • Today - Kind of up in the air. FI wasn't sure if he had to work today or not, and it turns out that he doesn't have to. We might go to Claim Jumper for dinner since I have a $25 birthday thing that expires on the 15th. FI is really excited that I found out they have gluten-free pizzas.

Saturday & Sunday - Probably just organizing/decluttering. I wanted to check out that book that some of you have been discussing, but my library has 25 e-copies with 7 people on hold for it per copy! So I'll be waiting for that for a while. Other than that, just working on school work.
  • First weekend in FOREVER we don't have strict plans :)

Tonight - probably stay in and have dinner
Saturday - date night with DH - dinner and bond movie
Sunday - morning yoga class and cleaning

  • Friday - Pizza night at home, I checked out the movie Blended from the library - it's a couple of years old but we never got around to watching it, so family movie night!

Saturday - Grocery shopping, playground while the weather is still borderline warm enough and I am going to see Spectre (spelling?) solo!  I love movies, and they're such a rare treat. Although I did realize I saw Jurassic Park this summer, so it actually hasn't been as long as I thought.

Sunday - Church, helping in Sunday school, hopefully clean our house!
  • Friday- will be a relaxing time at home with my little one for a few hours and then hopefully some trashy tv catch-up!

Sat- Haircut and then hoping to go to an indoor pool to pretend like winter isn't creeping up on us ;)

Sun- babysitting a friends toddler/play date.

Pretty low key and relaxing! Which is good, because work will be a beast next week :)
  • Friday - Watching the kid

    Saturday - Packing

Sunday - Flying to our cruise. :)

LMAO, so my first thought when I read your post @lbonga1 was, "OMG!!!  Where does she live that they have a Claim Jumpers?"  Then my second thought was, "Oh yeah.  She lives where I used to live.  Of course there is a Claim Jumper.  I miss Claim Jumper."

I didn't realize they aren't that big of a chain lol! The awesome thing was FI and I both got pizzas and ended up only spending $1.06, and then the next day I got an email saying that I somehow got another $25 gift card? Yay!

I was curious, so I looked it up.  They are a chain and have a few dozen locations, but are only in a handful of states.  About half the locations are in CA.

Apparently there is one in Louisiana!  Unfortunately, it is in Lake Charles which is on the northern end of the state and many hours from where I live.

Good deal on your meal and then getting another $25 card!
