New to Board - Intro

Hi there, I figured I'd introduce myself as I'm new to the board.
I am 29 and my H is 30. We got married in June and we've been TTC since August (on our fourth cycle without luck yet).
I'm not on any fertility meds, but I do have a history of endometriosis and I am diabetic - I'm going to give it another few months (I think) before I ask doctor for some help?  We are using OPKs, saliva ferning test, temping, and sperm-friendly lubricant.  I've been on PNVs for at least 4-5 months as well.
I've been getting disappointed lately because it seems so many people are popping up now on facebook announcing they are pregnant; while I'm happy for everyone, it hurts each time to see it... *sigh*
Married: 6/6/2015
Started TTC: 8/2015

  • Hello and welcome to the board. As you can see, this board is pretty slow. Good luck TTC. Remember, it can take a perfectly healthy couple (under the age of 35) up to a year to conceive. You have only been TTC for 4 months. Are you temping/charting? OPKs can only tell you that ovulation might occur soon. A temp shift will tell you for sure that you have ovulated.

What exactly is going on that you want to see a doctor for?

  • Yes, I have been tempting, doing saliva testing, and OPKs.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis many many years ago (and have had surgery for it once many years ago) so I fear this could play a role.

  • Have you ever had an HSG? you may want to ask your OB to run one, relatively easy procedure and you will be able to tell if the endo has blocked any part of your tubes.

    Good luck!
