sheet set.. kind of money matters!

Does anyone have a tempur pedic mattress? If so, what sheets do you use? I'm trying to find reasonably priced ones that have decent reviews and would actually fit, and they don't seem to exist..

Re: sheet set.. kind of money matters!

  • Why don't normal sheets fit?  Is it a thicker mattress?  If so, I would have thought there would be a lot to choose from because a lot of people have those pillow top mattresses that are thicker.

But it isn't something I've looked for, so I'm not much help!

  • I do! We actually use Sleep Number bedding on our Tempur Pedic. The sheets are expensive, but they go on sale a few times a year. They fit well and they're really soft. We hated our Sleep Number mattress, but from now on, I'll always buy their bedding.
  • Why don't regular sheets fit?  Do you need extra-deep?  Because if so, I have the Threshold Performance sheets from Target on our extra-deep mattress and they are sooooo soft and amazing and I recommend them to everybody!
  • We have a Sleep Number, and the Charisma brand sheets from Costco work great.  They sell Charisma at other places than Costco as well...they're just cheaper at Costco.
  • We have a tempurpedic - it seems like it s actually thinner than a regular mattress, but ours is 10 years old (or more? my husband has had it since highschool) so may be different.  The fitted sheet is a little bit loose by honestly i just use regular sheets on it.
  • We have a BoB-opedic and normal sheets fit ours...
  • So now I guess we're getting the Serta icomfort instead, and the mattress is actually a bit thinner, so I may have a hard time finding small enough sheets that fit the cal king width! oh joy...

I wouldn't stress about it too much. My H and I have a king size Serta icomfort, and regular sheets fit fine. We have 2 sets of the same Macy's Charter Club 400-thread count sheets in different colors. On one set the fitted sheet seems a bit larger on the long sides for some reason than the other (the elastic part is more fitted), but I find if I just tuck the excess under the mattress when I make the bed it stays well. The gel-filled mattress are a lot heavier than regular ones, so even if the sheets are a bit bulky on the sides, tucking them under should help them stay in place.
  • I have found that sheets from IKEA fit my sleep number bed very well, and we have the adjustable option for a split king.
