What are you reading? Are you still doing the challenges?
Bonus: what is your favorite non-traditional thanksgiving food?

My grandmother had two gooseberry bushes, and we always have had gooseberry salad (a jello dish) for Thanksgiving. But she's been gone for several years now, and the gooseberries ran out last year, so there'll be no gooseberry salad for Thanksgiving this year for the first time.

TSK is great. I wasn't expecting all the drama and intrigue, but I love it. The Boston Girl, I'm still up in the air. I love Addie, and I wish she was a real lady I could sit and have tea with, but the book is just not very exciting. Maybe I'm comparing it to TSK or something. So we'll see about this one.
I feel like we only eat traditional thanksgiving foods on thanksgiving. They're traditional to me, anyway. Broccoli casserole? Pink cranberry jello mold? I love that stuff. But candied sweet potatoes are my absolute favorite part of the meal.

I started & finished The Fill-In Boyfriend last night. I really enjoyed it. Going to start First & Then tonight. It will be number 67 for the year, still behind.
I'm not big on Thanksgiving foods so I would have to say lasagna.
I don't think we have anything non-traditional for Thanksgiving (at least my family doesn't).

I'm reading Amy and Rogers Epic detour. It just started so I don't have any opinions yet. #103.
I completed my challenge a few days ago!
I don't have any nontraditional food I like at Thanksgiving, but I can't stand sweet potato anything. If it has marshmallows or honey or anything candied on it I want to barf. My SIL insists on bringing it every year. The only way to eat a sweet potato is fried with salt.

I make an onion-herb bread that was always my grandmother's favorite at Thanksgiving. It is traditional to my family but not necessarily in the grand scheme of things. And I make my green bean casserole completely from scratch. No cream of this or can of that. Fresh beans, fresh mushrooms, fresh cream, fresh onions. Mmmm...thanks, Alton Brown!
I might actually like your version!
It's SOOO good. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/best-ever-green-bean-casserole-recipe.html
