I just made a quick buck!

I had some odds and ends in my jewelry box that I have no interest in wearing.  Honestly back in the day I may have thrown this stuff in the trash.

I took it to cash for gold and made $26.  A tiny 5 year anniversary pin from my first job was worth $10!  However my honor society pin wasn't real gold so that was $0.

Anyway just thought I'd put this out there as a reminder that even small things can add up to a few quick bucks.

Nice! I posted a microwave cart from our condo on craigslist for $40 and someone is coming tonight to check it out. I also have 2 people lined up if she doesn't buy it.

I also posted an unused fitbit that was free from my health insurance so hoping to sell that too lol

  • That's great!  I know we have some "gold" places not too far away.  Might check them out.

I have a gold ring from when H and I were dating.  It just sits here, I don't wear it anymore.  I've thought about taking it somewhere for cash.  We've been in declutter mode a lot with plans of moving next year.

  • Haha...I just found a broken chain in with a bunch of old jewelry.  Everything else was tarnished...but this little baby still shined and shined, because real gold does not tarnish.  Alas, it is about the size of a gossamer thread and isn't worth a special trip to a pawn store, but I threw it in a little box and into my purse for the next time I happen to be passing by one.

Congrats on making some extra money with old unwanted stuff!  Cha-ching.
