Happy Monday! Or is it?

Pretty normal here for us. I'm frustrated with Target and myself. They sent me a new debit redcard 3 weeks ago. I called last week and they said to wait another week for it then call back. So I called back today since I still didn't have it. They had to cancel my current card to issue a new one. Frustrating since I use my card weekly and they said it will take 2-3 weeks to get here. Ugh!!! Then I get home and of course my new card was in the mail today. I called back but they had also already cancelled that card to send out the new one. So I still have wait.

Otherwise, grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, play dough - normal Monday. How's everyone else doing so far? When is school out for Christmas break for those of you who get one (Tara, Megan's DH, Amber, Alyssa).

Today is a normal Monday for me too. First full day back at work (worked half a shift yesterday). It went okay. Just laundry, putting dishes away that Tyler did just before we left, unpacking, that kind of stuff.

This is my last week! I have only one final to take which is nice. I still have a bunch of reading and assignments to finish up. I'm ready. Then I can focus on the holidays and making a plan to get stuff done before Elias gets here.

Yay!! Only one final is great. And I hear ya on making a plan to get stuff done. I had to do that recently to help myself know what all I have left to do before baby gets here.

Not sure if I mentioned this back in August, but when our contract was awarded, one of the losers protested it. We just found out today that the protest has officially been denied. So we get to keep our contract until the next rebid in three years.

School is out for Christmas break on Dec. 23, not soon enough. Everything is fine here. Nothing new except DH interviewed for a social studies position in his school and he found out today he didn't get it. He is super bummed. He hates his current position (self contained special ed). I am sick of him complaining and not being happy. I leturued him on how he needs to be grateful to have any teaching job and plenty of people hate their job but they deal with it.

You should count yourself lucky that he's not just complaining about it. He's actually trying to do something about it by going out and looking for other positions. That's more than a lot of people do.

I'm with your husband, Tara. I really don't like my job, but Mark is right. At least he is looking for another job. It's okay to admit that where he is isn't the right fit for him though.

I started moving things out of the nursery last night, which was awesome. Now just to assemble the furniture...

My goal is to get that done before the end of the year, probably when Ty has time off after Christmas. I need to start his nursery art too before I start another semester of school.

Tara, I hear ya on DH not liking his job. P was doing a lot of complaining about his and it was driving me crazy. I wanted him to do something about it not just complain. He was constantly in a bad mood and cranky. It's gotten better in the last few months and he did update his resume. But every opportunity that he's found or had someone contact him, he ends up not following up on. So it's still kind of driving me crazy.
