Christmas Craziness.

Remind me to never plan a trip during school ever again. Phew. This week has been CRAZY trying to finish school, get caught up from vacation and get ready for Christmas on top of that. I got a good chunk of Christmas gifts online so I hope they will be here in time....and they are all going in gift bags haha. I am not about to try wrapping all this the night before. Plus I am hosting a Christmas party for my dad's side Christmas eve and having my inlaws over for dinner Christmas Day. Trying to coordinate all of that has been fun.

And next year,I get to do it all with a baby.

Re: Christmas Craziness.

  • Happy celebrations!!
  • Wow that overwhelms me just reading it.  You definitely need to take some me-time somewhere in there.  But I love spending the holidays with family and wish we had family closer.  It's just Paul, Lily and I for Christmas.  Just like last year.  I miss the big family dinners.  But travelling this year was out of the question since I'll be 37 weeks the day after Christmas and Paul is on call until Christmas morning.

Maybe next year??  I'm over here miserable and tired.  It's so hard to get comfy these days.  And while I'm ready for her to be here, I really want her to wait until after New Years.  So I'm trying not to think too much about how uncomfortable I am and trying to not do too much at once so I don't start labor.  Just in case, ya know.

  • I'm also sitting here working on my meal planning for the week and grocery list since tomorrow is my grocery shopping day.  It feels weird to be planning Christmas cooking already.  Cookies and dinner.

  • That sounds like my time lately. We have a tree, but as I described it last night, it's only wearing the lingerie since it only has lights... I still have most everything to wrap, and have to clean and make a whole bunch of food. There is no way I'm going to make cookies, or do anything more than I have to. I still have to sew pj pants for my FIL.

Oh, and Michelle, if she comes before the new year, you at least get the tax deduction for the entire year.

  • That's true but I'm more interested in my insurance deductible right now. At least for next year. Haha, because we should meet it (of course) and then I can have a whole year of taking either kid in when sick with insurance covering most of it.

  • I'm hosting Christmas dinner because my sister backed out. She was going to have it at her place but is fighting with my brother so she cancelled it. I will have 11 people over but it will be casual. My parents won't have it at their house beacuse they can't get their house clean in time. (They are slight hoarders). I hope my mom helps me with the cooking. I did it all for Thanksgiving.

Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.

I didn't think of it that way, but that also works.
