Friday- Changing gym memberships from Planet to LA Fitness. Luckily insurance will pay for H and I's membership! I was getting so bored at PF. Cleaning out car and making it pretty

    Saturday- Getting my new car!

Sunday- Taking all the Christmas stuff down. Starting back at the gym!

  • Tonight - heading to Atlanta for NYE at BIL's house

Tomorrow - meeting some friends for lunch to exchange belated gifts and then New Year's dinner at the IL's house.  Also meeting BIL's new girlfriend for the first time.  He's been very secretive about her, so MIL assembled the entire family when she heard that BIL was finally going to introduce her.  I kind of feel bad for the poor girl, because it's going to be a lot of people all at once.

Saturday - H actually has a meeting at the office Saturday to prep for a trial, and I'm going to finish unpacking and try to put gifts away and get the house straightened up.  It's been a disaster zone since we got back from our trip.

Sunday - Oil change for me and running errands.

  • I've been off since the 24th so the next few days will be getting ready for going back to work- clean the house, laundry, grocery shop, meal prep, take down the tree/decorations. I'm sick today (fever, aches, cough, stuffed up) so I've been on the couch while DH took the girls to breakfast with his parents and to target- hoping it's just a 24 hour thing so I can enjoy the rest of our time off.

  • Thurs - early out from work.  Get stuff done around the house, relax a little and then go to a NYE party.

Fri - nice brunch at home with H, getting a massage, watching football and relaxing

Sat - brunch with grad school friends including one that is in from out of town

Sun - stuff around the house, relax, maybe tackle some organizing if I'm ambitious or start getting tax documents together

I want to be somewhat productive but also relax a lot and try to fit in a few visits to the gym.  Hopefully this long weekend will help me do it all!
  • Our weekend will probably consist of hanging out around the house, and watching a couple movies. Dh and ds had their flights canceled to come home so they just made it last night. Dh wanted to go see Star Wars so that maybe the one thing we venture out for.
I do need to get the Christmas stuff out away now that dh is home to get the boxes out of the attic.

  • Tonight: Going to a hockey game then probably stopping by a friend's house on the way home.

Friday: Sleeping in hopefully, making a good breakfast, watching the Winter Classic game on TV, and making boeuf bourguinon for dinner.  Probably try to clean a bit.

Saturday:  More cleaning, and need to clear out the boxes we have had sitting in our bedroom since the wedding.  Saturday night we have another hockey game to go to, and may go downtown early to a friend's going away party.

Sunday:  Grocery shopping and laundry, and hopefully just relaxing otherwise.  I should tackle the guest room to organize it but I'm not sure I'll get to it.
  • Tonight: we're having my family over for NYE, with dinner of bacon-wrapped beef filets and twice-baked potatoes. Have a half-day today to prep and cook.

Tomorrow: I'm hoping to balance work and play. I'll probably relax in the morning, watch the Rose Parade, and read for a bit. But I also want to finish December's budget/expense tracking and solidify January's budget, as well as decide what photos to print from our trip to Europe.

Saturday: Shopping for after-Christmas deals that hopefully are still out there. We have Kohl's cash to use, want to go to a Xmas-specialty shop that we didn't have time to hit before Xmas, and use up a gift card to a store in the vicinity since we're never in that area.

Sunday: Church and then my cousins' birthday party.
  • Tonight we're going to our friends' house that we've celebrated NYE with for three years now.  Excited to see them!  They have a sitter for their adorable daughter so we can get dinner but be home by midnight.

Tomorrow we're doing a "first day hike".  It will be nice to get outside.

I just realized that tomorrow's not Saturday and feel like I got a "bonus" day I wasn't planning for.  Maybe I'll tackle my disaster of a guest room.

Sunday I'm subbing at my old church daycare job and then will get some work done from home.
  • Friday - 5 month photos for DD2 and a play date for the older kids

Saturday- Taking a family drive, one of our favorite activities

    Sunday - Church

It's a quiet weekend which we really need as the kids are still wired from Christmas.
  • Today: taking down and putting away Christmas decor and the tree.  Bittersweet!  NYE is going to be pretty low key for us this year.  No big/fancy parties.

Friday: Probably some shopping.  It's become a little bit of a tradition for me.  I always find some amazing dept store deals on New Year's Day.  Probably run to Target and check out what they have left, if anything.  Operation organize and clean!  I feel so much better starting the new year with a clean and organized home.  I'm pretty sure it's a mental thing...lol

Saturday: Not sure.  Some friends are in town so we might meet up with them.

Sunday: Church, prep for the first week back to work/school/daycare for all of us.  I've been off with the transition of starting a new job, our daycare was closed between the holidays and H has been on vacation or working from home since the 18th.  We really need to get back into our routine!!

  • Today - I slept in this morning after a crazy-busy three days at work this week.  I've been organizing around the house & need to go grocery shopping.  Tonight we have lobsters with homemade pasta at my parents house

Tomorrow - big holiday for H's family.  they start at 8am but I can't leave the dog all day so I will sleep in, do some yoga, walk the dog and head over in the early afternoon.

Saturday - we just decided not to renew our lease which is up 2/29 so we are starting with a relator to look at 5 houses saturday afternoon.  we need to take down our tree and get caught up on laundry too.

Sunday - I got someone to cover the yoga class i teach because my foot has been hurting and getting worse by the day.  We have an open house to go to in the afternoon, then maybe seeing some family.  Doing my normal sunday afternoon cooking.

Good luck with house hunting!  Very exciting even when it might get stressful!

  • Tonight--H picked up some ribs and we are watching movies and playing Scrabble.

Tomorrow-H is leaving in the morning to go bird hunting for the rest of the weekend.  I have no plans for the whole weekend, other than usual chores like grocery shopping.

We are starting our 31-Day declutter challenge tomorrow so I'm pretty excited about that!

Basically, you remove the same # of items from your home each day that correspond to the date.  So on the 1st, H and I will each find one thing around the house to get rid of (either donate, sell, or trash).  On the 2nd, we each find 2 items, and so on, until we get to the 31st and we each get rid of 31 items.  Items can be as simple as 25 magazines, or 10 hangers, or whatever.  At the end of the month, we will have gotten rid of nearly 1000 items!  We've already been scoping out items in drawers, closets, cupboards, etc. that we can get rid of.
  • last night we played board games with DD and she stayed up till the ball dropped

today I paid bills and plan to vacuum the house and start organizing a few things DH got me totes for.

Saturday my car gets an oil change and I want to take all the xmas decor down so I can start deep cleaning on Sunday.  I need DH to lift up our mattress so I can vacuum the carpet under it.

Sunday I'm going to deep clean the bathroom and I want to either go to a acro yoga class or pole class - maybe both.

  • We both worked Thursday and were beat so we ordered Chinese and celebrated New Years with Netflix. We celebrated the NYC ball drop and then went to bed at 11 our time. :) Friday my mom came over and helped me paint our bedroom. She's coming back on Sunday to paint the ceiling and the built-ins. Today I had lunch with a few girlfriends, ran errands and took a nap!
