WIJFR: The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (sp)
I got really excited about this book. It was on my TBR list, but I saw it was a Goodreads nom, so I quickly got on the hold list.
I really liked it! I felt it was a little predicable, but in a good way. Though, I was really surprised by Maven. I didn't see it coming though I'm sure there was a ton of foreshadowing. I'm interested to see what they'll do with Cal. Early on in the book, I thought it was kind of obvious that the love interest would be Cal. I know she got into him for a bit, but I'm curious how it's going to turn around for him to be more like the rebels. And obviously Kilorn rounds out the triangle. I'm a little less thrilled about the triangle, but I don't hate it either. I was also pleasantly surprised by Shade's appearance. I think he's going to add some spice.

My sweet babies:

I don't disagree about the characters being a bit one dimensional. Gathering that Kilorn and Cal would be her interests, I was surprised at how much more I was getting behind Maven. He was the only interesting one.
I'm more interested in Farley at this point.
