Weekend Reading

What did you start, finish, make progress on, or neglect?  Did you do anything fun?

I've honestly neglected all reading since the New Year.  My niece and nephews were here until this morning and every spare moment was spent with them.  We gave my dad a surprise 60th birthday party this weekend that I was in charge of planning, and it was a blast, but now I am just wiped out.  I need some serious book time to recharge from the constant activity of the last ten days.

Re: Weekend Reading

  • I finished After You. The ending was meh.

    Started These Broken Stars.

  • I finished a really bad romance.

I started The Infinite Sea.  I'm not thrilled with it yet at almost 20%.

One of my best friends got married this weekend so it was a busy, but fun weekend.

  • I did zero reading this last weekend.  My mom was in town, so I spent time cleaning (crazy how we do a mad dash to clean right before people show up) and we went to a retirement party Saturday night.  Sunday we had other friends over for dinner, so there was just no time.

I'm only about 30 pages into The Chaos of Stars, and about 20% done with November 9.  I hope to get some reading done today.

That's so true! Then you have a big group who makes even a small mess and you start over again.

I made it through 70 - 80 pages of the Nightingale. I wanted to get through at least 100 since I have only a few days to read it. I went to one of my knitting groups and Husband and I started "Making a Murderer" on Netflix. So far it's good, but we're only 2.5 episodes in...I'm curious where they'll go in the series.

  • I think I finished Wildflower, but that might have happened before the weekend. I also had to turn in the e-audiobook of The Witches before I finished it, and I'm like 4 people back in the hold line. Boo! I'm rereading Dragonfly in Amber because it's good and also I am totally unmotivated to start anything new while I wait for library holds. I wish there was a better way to log rereads on GR without starting over again.
