Re: Thursday Goat Getting Day

  • DH today. He's usually so practical to the point of annoyance but today he's done a 180 and it's annoying the shit out of me.

  • The bus I got stuck behind this morning. It was a city bus so I could have passed it but it was stopped just before a light for no reason and I couldn't see what color the light was so I could safely go around him. We sat through at least two cycles of the light. He finally pulled up just enough and turned at the next cycle. I don't know why. Super annoying.

For the week I'm having one of those irritating weeks where I feel like I'm being ignored when I say something but then someone else says the same thing and they're all like "what a great idea" and I'm like "I just frickin said that 30 minutes ago! Weren't you listening???"

  • This cold that I have!!! I hate being sick, but being a mommy while sick is freaking hard. I just want to take some Nyquil and sleep until it goes away. Nope, I will probably be building Lego towers.

  • My dogs and the rainy weather.  We live on a farm so my dogs are always out running around.  Well, they have found something to roll in, so they stink like something dead on top of a wet dog smell.  I planned to give them a bath outside (we have a faucet that lets us control the temperature of the water), but of course its pouring, so I really don't want to get soaking wet.  My options are to deal with not only the wet dog smell but the dead animal smell, leave my dogs outside all day in the pouring rain, or try to stick them in the bathtub (they are not small dogs) and then have to clean the bathroom.

Or... wait until DH gets home and make him deal with them since they are his dogs.

  • People are so rude. I'm in the health field and get yelled at so much because people don't understand their insurance plans. Instead of trying to understand it or have me explain it, they rather yell at me for something I have absolutely no control over. I have complete empathy for someone who's sick or needs help and will gladly go out of my way to make things easier, but if you're screaming in my face I'm less likely to help you. I'm also shocked by how people "expect" things without doing anything themselves to make sure it's given to them. I'm sorry, but when your health is in question, you should take responsibility. If you need a medication today--make sure you have a prescription. If you need an ultrasound-- make sure you schedule an appointment. I literally had someone tell me today "I shouldn't have to call to get a prescription". Ummm.... if you want your medication you do. Ugh, rant over.
  • This also happened today... I'm in a huge long line at Subway and there's a woman in front of me with two kids. She orders 3 sandwiches and then keeps changing what she wants on them. Then proceeds to scream at the kid making her sandwich when he put cheese on it and she didn't want that and then screamed at her kids while he was trying to complete her order. I felt so bad for him, he was obviously doing the best he could in a huge rush of people and this lady was a complete B to him and honestly her kids too. What is happening to the world?
  • I gotta second the feeling ignored. I keep bringing up ideas to my boss with no response yet the boss is stressed because we need more ideas like I'm bringing up. DH is the same way, we don't get a lot of time together so the last 2 nights when we were actually home at the same time he just sat on his phone playing games!

LaBella, I agree you have to call for your own RX. Ask your insurance about 3 month supply if you can. CVS recently started calling me to remember to refill a monthly Rx, it's so nice but not necessary I'm an adult, I should keep up.

My only regular prescription was recently changed to OTC, and it would now cost me $22 or so instead of the $4 that I pay for the prescription with my insurance.  I have it on a refill reminder so that as long as my insurance is going to keep paying for the bulk of it, I can stock up.  It's a one month refill, but I don't use it every day, so it last me more like 6 weeks.  I love the refill reminder!
