Books to screen 2016

I find that I read a lot of books because they make them into movies. This helps motivate me to read the book before seeing the movie. Does anyone know of any book to screen adaptions coming up in 2016? Any recommendations?

I'm still behind on the 2015 books including:
  • The Martian
  • Paper Towns
  • Black Mass
  • Dark Matter
I see there's a new Nicholas Sparks movie coming out in Feb. is the book any good? I like most of his books, but as I've said, they change the plot so much I've learned not to rush to the theater.

  • The Finest Hours comes out at the end of the month. I thought the book was fascinating but I have a weird obsession with shipwrecks.

I saw the preview too. I'm embarrassed to say I've never read Pride and Prejuidice, so I guess I should add that to my list, then the Zombie one.

I didn't know about Me Before You!  I'm even more interested on seeing that Finnick is playing Will.

  • I feel like Paper Towns kind of fell flat.  I haven't seen it, but I feel like it disappeared fast.

Yeah, I remember muting the commericals since I hadn't read it (didn't want any spoilers) but it's already at Redbox. I'm hoping it's a quick read. Someone accidentally gave away part of Finding Alaska for me so I think I've figured out the John Green pattern, but it's still worth reading.
  • Paper Towns was a pretty quick read, and good.  The book was WAY better than the movie, but maybe that was partly because I knew what was going to happen.

Finnick is playing Will?!?!  I don't know if I will be able to handle this movie.

The Martian was so good on audio! It was one of my favorite audiobooks of all time.

I'm planning on reading The Girl on theTrain this year but probably not much else that's coming to the screen.

Oh, I saw a preview for this and wanted to read the book. Adding it to my Goodreads list now.

I feel the same way about Mockingjay Part 2! I never really heard or even felt any big hype myself and the HG is one of my favorite series. (Although I still pretend Mockingjay never happened).

  • I saw the preview recently and I think Pride and Prejudice and Zombies looks really good.

I didn't know that Girl on the Train was being made into a movie.  I like the casting - Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux.  I'm excited to see this.
  • I believe the 3rd Divergent should come out this year...although it's splitting into 2 parts?

I like to pretend that the third Divergent book never happened.  That said, I thought the second movie was better than the second book, so maybe the third one will follow in that vein.

YES! I thought the ending was terrible. One poor lady at work made fun of me because I had the same reaction as her 12 year old daughter (regarding the main character) Since they changed the plot of Insurgent maybe they'll change the plot of this one too, make it better. I don't understand the whole splitting books into 2 parts thing, but that's a different issue.
  • The Fifth Wave
13 Hours (that one might already be out?)

This!!  I keep saying I hope they change the ending of the movie.

I'm thinking of finally reading Pride & Prejudice & Zombies now since the movie trailer looked pretty good. And I hate zombies/scary things.

I am not a fan of space so I will probably never read The Martian or see the movie, but I do want to see Girl on a Train and Me Before You.
