Anyone in Iowa want to talk about today?

I'm absolutely fascinated by the process and know so little about it.

Re: Anyone in Iowa want to talk about today?

  • I'd love to learn more. I'm curious about the outcome too. On a sidenote that I should probably understand, is there a reason why some states get their own primary, while others have super Tuesdays and such? I just feel bad for folks who have to wait a while, I think the results could be different if everyone voted on the same day. This coming from the girl who grew up in NH where we had the 1st in the nation primary.
  • Last night was fascinating and frightening all at once. It also prompted me to make my first ever donation to a political candidate. I normally do not contribute to a campaign, but I felt moved to this time around. Regardless of who you side with, this is going to be a very interesting year.

Exactly! Seems like the results are different than what was predicted.
  • I feel more invested in this whole campaign at a much earlier stage than I usually do.  I'm normally not caught up in things until closer to the conventions when the actual major party candidates are selected.  That is when I normally sit up and start paying attention.  But I've been fascinated for months already.  But it's kind of a morbid fascination - part of me keeps hoping I'm going to wake up and these candidates will have all been some kind of a dream and this isn't really happening . . .
