TTC/3T Check-in.... Who's back?!

Ok ladies, let's try to bring this back! I'd like to include a little blurb about each active member on the board who want to be included (like we used to do for 3T) to remind everyone else on where you are in your journey. If you'd like to be included in that, please PM me. I'll have that all together for next week's check-in. For today...

Where are you at in your TTC journey?
Any testing coming up?
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
QOTW: What is your favorite quote (motivational, silly, sad, whatever!)?

Re: TTC/3T Check-in.... Who's back?!

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey?
    6 months into TTC 2.0
    Any testing coming up?
On CD38, so I'll test Thursday morning.  Tested last Friday, BFN.
Not temping right now, so it's all just winging it.  Last cycle was 36 days though (one before that was 74), so I'm just taking a test once a week.
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
We leave for Hawaii on Friday morning.  2015 was a very emotional year (loss of my brother, another chemical pregnancy, birth of DD, loss of my grandmother) and we're both ready to just step away from it all and relax a bit.
Once we get back I will start temping and the PCOS diet again.  So I'm probably going to gorge myself on gluten, caffeine, and sugary alcoholic drinks on vacation.
QOTW: What is your favorite quote (motivational, silly, sad, whatever!)?
"God is always with me.  Therefore, I will not fear."

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Not trying right now, but I did contact the fertility clinic last week about FET.  We have one frozen embryo and would like to transfer this summer/fall.  If it doesn't work, we would go forward with another IVF cycle.  However, because we had genetic testing done, we know our embryo is a boy and I've become kind of attached already.  I picture my life with him in it.  I'm really hopeful.

Any testing coming up? Nope.  I do kind of wonder if they'll make me do all the testing again... I hope not.  But, my body/lifestyle has changed and I do wonder if it'll make a difference.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) Not really.  Just trying to keep life uneventful.  I've lost some weight and I'm hoping that it'll help with PCOS.  But, I've never ovulated on my own, and I'm not super hopeful... though, it'd be nice.

QOTW: What is your favorite quote (motivational, silly, sad, whatever!)? I don't know.  I have a Pinterest board full of them, but I'm not sure that I have a favorite.  The loss ones speak to me, I guess.
IUI - BFP! Baby boy born still - August 2012

  • Yo peeps! I'm not doing any procreating at the moment, but excited to see something on this board again! @brij2006 I'm highly jealous of your upcoming trip, sounds awesome.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? TTC #1, Cycle #3, CD 53 - I hate my body. My chart is all over the place and both previous cycles ended with Provera. I had so much hope earlier in this cycle when I had EWCM and several of the other signs. But, my temp once again went all over the place. And it's pretty much the same thing now. I did get my blood test results back from my OB/GYN, and everything was within normal range (thyroid, hormone levels, etc.).
Any testing coming up? I'll POAS on CD 60.
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I think since the last update I've started a new job with the Navy. So much less stressful, plus the benefits are so much better. We're continuing to plug along with TTC. I'm starting to get a little discouraged that something that I've wanted for so long is never going to happen because my body can't get its shit together. I know my OB/GYN isn't going to want to hear about further testing until I reach a year (which is the end of May). It's just frustrating. And DH is sooooooo supportive and wants to be a dad.
QOTW: What is your favorite quote (motivational, silly, sad, whatever!)? It's really a verse/chorus/whatever from my favorite singer Sara Bareilles. "Long ago in a sky built before us/A supernova grew up to be stardust." I love anything space-related, and this song (Cassiopeia) is one of my favorites of all time.

We're doing 3 days in Honolulu, then 7 in Maui with a convertible.
    It's just H and I. :-)  So excited!

@lfk2013 Sorry you're getting discouraged. Will the OB chat more with you since you are having long cycles and know you aren't ovulating?  Or will you switch to an RE at a year instead (highly recommend)?

@IloveRedVino Eep!  Summer/Fall will be here before you know it.

@futuremrswright2012 Really hoping you get a plan with the new RE, that you both love.  Also, raising that amount of money and running a half marathon is something to be very proud of!

  • @brij2006 - I have to go back in May anyway for my annual lady bits check, but my plan is to see what they say. I am leaning towards finding an RE immediately, regardless of the outcome with my OB/GYN. (It's really the reason I picked the insurance plan I did because it covers everything up to IVF. I was considering this as an outcome.)

Where are you at in your TTC journey? We'll be TTC #2 this year. Planning a FET for mid-summer maybe.

Any testing coming up? None. Although I'll be contacting the RE after our trip in March so I'm sure I'll have to redo all my blood work and tests.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) Were going to London over spring break at the end of March!!
