Not MM--Health & Fitness board
So, I've really been trying to get healthier by losing some weight (30 lbs. would be nice) and lower my cholesterol. I thought since I was hanging out on TN, I'd go check out the Health & Fitness board to see if there's any Fitbit users or any good discussions over there.
Nearly every post is about breast augmentation and/or rhinoplasty. Eh.....................no offense to anybody that has had plastic surgery, but that's not what I was expecting when I went there. I guess that's why I never leave the MM board!
Anybody here have any favorite community forums to chat about healthy habits, weight loss, Fitbit, etc.?
Re: Not MM--Health & Fitness board
I second the MyFitnessPal mention above. It's good for tracking calories and they have a discussion forum. Sometimes the discussions are a little crazy (especially in Chit Chat Fun & Games) but for the most part people are really helpful over there. There are a lot of newbie discussions on there that talk about how to get started and use the system. Might want to give them a try. I believe they even have a Fitbit users group on there.
Also finding a friend to do it with is a good idea. From personal experience I would steer clear of posting on social media and all telling people that might not understand your goals, it can lead to negative comments.
I also do a lot of pinterest searching for recipe ideas. Skinnytaste.com has some great recipes too!
