Seven signs it's time to give up on a book
I'm considering bailing on the new Anne Rice. I need to just accept the fact that her overly weepy, florid prose is not my cup of tea and even though I loved her early books these new ones are just the WORST. I hated that one too! I think she's just lost her touch. This was Beauty's Kingdom, and I did give it up. Life is just too damn short to roll your eyes every paragraph.
