NBR: So I spent $$$ on swimsuits today

I fully intend to return half of what I ordered. I have been looking for an active, athletic style suit that isn't too frumpy or too revealing. What do you guys think of it? I am guessing that I will end up keeping the tankini and the hipster bottoms, but wanted to at least try out the other options. For reference, I 'm 4'11" and 118 lbs with no boobs. These options are more expensive than what I would normally buy (usually something from Target or ON), but I really want to find a decent suit.

More Tankini
And these bottoms as well.

  • My pick would be the tankini with the printed bottoms. I really like the print on this though :)

I think that is probably what I will end up with. Although I'm in fairly decent shape, I don't think I'll feel comfortable in a bikini. I saw lots of women last summer in bikinis that are in worse shape than me, but I don't think I am up for that anymore. lol.  Maybe if I was just lounging around and not chasing the kiddo around and playing with him.

  • I love it!  I've never been a bikini girl, even when I had the body to pull it off (I don't anymore).  Shorts like that always seem to roll up on me, so I would probably go with the tankini top and printed bottoms, too.  I love the cut of that top.  Where is this from?

Title Nine. I hadn't thought about that with the shorts. I'll have to make sure I check for that when they come in.

  • I can't do shorts like that either.  They just don't sit right.  But the print is cute!  Bathing suit shopping is one of the worst things ever.

  • I like these!  I hate buying swim suits.  I used to wear bikinis and even though I'm in good shape, I feel like I can't pull them off anymore.  I hate tankinis because I feel like they do nothing for my problem area and just ride up to accentuate it.  I have a couple of one piece suits but they make me feel old.  Last year I bought a high waisted bikini bottoms.  I think its probably my only solution thats a happy medium.  I also bought a rash guard shirt that I wear over a regular bikini sometimes if I'm going to be on a boat or jet ski.

  • This would be me on a beach. So no. :-P

  • UPDATE: The suits are in.

The winner is.....  Tankini top and hipster bottoms. Love the material and they seem very well made. The bikini top was okay but I practically had to dislocate my shoulders to get it off. I will be sending it back for a refund. The printed bottoms will be exchanged for a size larger. There were just a tad too tight and were making rolls where once there were none. Well, maybe a little, but those bottoms definitely made it worse.
