Friday--where is everyone and what are you reading?

Since no one else started this today.

I'm nearly finished with the audiobook of Amanda Palmer's The Art of Asking. I love it and I am now also in love with Amanda. This makes it an awkward love triangle in that I'm also in love with her husband, and neither one of them knows me.

I'm reading How To Be a Grownup by Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin (of The Nanny Diaries fame). I need to quit reading their stuff. There are always so many holes in the narrative. Not necessarily plot holes, just weird non sequiturs and all their books have that issue.

  • I'm here, sporadically.  Work has been nutty lately, but I have been trying to post more. I finished Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr yesterday. It was pretty good. I started Ink Exchange which is the second book in the series. I have a thing for Fae stories lately.

  • I was on vacation for a bit, but I'm back. I'm reading Orphan #8 right now. So far, so good.

Let me know what you think. Don't want to say anything until you finish but it's a movie vs. book thing. I'm glad I stuck with it too, the beginning is so dark but it really picks up.

I was out of town this weekend. Didn't really read much so nothing fun to report. Gotta hustle and get back into a reading groove.
  • I'm late to this party, obviously, but I was also out of town on Friday/Saturday.  We were just in Boston for the night, but still a nice little getaway.

I finished Founding Brothers toward the end of last week and I loved it.  I'm about to finish a biography of Nathan Hale in my car, and I've just started reading James Monroe and a Nation's Call to Greatness.  Ever since DH and I booked our April trip to Philadelphia, I'm all about the American Revolution.
