Re: FFFC

  • Yes. Not so much of a confession though.  I think we are one step closer to buying the house we submitted the offer on. The sellers signed the paperwork and it is officially off the market. I was under the assumption that since it is a short sale, it would stay on the market until the lenders signed and our offers along with other offers could be considered. Now, it look like our offer will be the only one! Yippee!

I guess I will confess that I am scared of trying for a second child. We have pretty much decided that we want to start trying this summer, with the hopes of another spring baby. However, it scares me so much to think of how the dynamics of our lives will change with a second child. Our marriage has struggled since Liliana was born because I devote so much time to her. I can't imagine how he will feel when I have two children to tend to. However, maybe Liliana would be able to really bond with him when I am busy with the new baby. Also, I worry that Liliana will be very jealous, but I also really want her to have a sibling. Ugh. This is not an easy decision.

  • Elias is getting closer to getting here. I was 3 cm dilated and 60 percent effaced, with his head down and she could feel his head on Wednesday. I know, and my doctor even told me, that doesn't necessarily mean anything, it could still be awhile I'm not due for two weeks and they will let me go a week over, so about three weeks yet. But I wasn't dilated or effaced at all last week, so I was happy to hear progress. I feel him pushing down but no contractions (that I think anyways).

We are all ready for him. We have everything we need, everything is set up or installed, I have a bunch of stuff for post baby that will help with recovery, we have people set up to bring meals or check in and see if I need a helping hand that day. Mama is just trying to get ahead for school. Right now, I'm about a week and half ahead. I really want to get two, maybe even three weeks ahead. So I've been working on that.

No real confession here....just more of an update lol

  • @TaraW1979 Congrats on getting closer to buying your house! That's exciting that it if off the market. As far as deciding about having a second child I think it is normal to have all the concerns you stated. I think no matter what number child you are on all those concerns come up. I hope you are able to feel more comfortable with your decision either way.

@lovealwaysfindsaway8202011 I hope these next few weeks go by quickly for you.

  • I confess that I am nervous about what is going to happen at my first u/s on Friday. My doctors didn't think it was necessary to check my thyroid levels this early in pregnancy and I am hoping they made the right call. I've been taking my medicine like normal, but I just don't know. I didn't have hypothyroidism while I was pregnant with Abby and this is a whole new ballgame for me. H and Abby are coming along. I hope this baby is a healthy jellybean and that my hypothyroidism didn't mess them up.

  • I finally thought of one.

almost every weekend, I ask J to take E on a walk so I can get stuff done. By getting stuff done that means eat ice cream, and place on the internet.  I start working once I see them come up the street.
  • That's a good one Jen! I know I'm going to have to do something like that with J.

What ever happened with your Fibroids? Did they shrink and disappear on their own?

  • @taraW1979 I don't know what happened with the fibroids. In my research fibroids seemed to be very common in women with thyroid disorders. I hope the medicine I am on for my thyroid shrunk them, but we'll see. The first time I ever found out I had fibroids was with Abby's first ultrasound. I guess if they are still there we will be able to see them on Friday. My OB didn't have any concerns about me getting pregnant because they are on the outside of my uterus. She was right not to worry about that since here I am.
