Weekend Plans

Hi Everyone! I haven't been on in awhile due to vacationing at home and just being busy at work. Ugh! I miss being on here!

What are everyone's plans for the weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans

  • Well my dog hurt his knee (he has a luxating knee cap) on Sunday so he's in pain this week, so we are all just taking it easy

Friday- Maybe the gym, otherwise relaxing

    Saturday- Some yard work

Sunday- Maybe going to the mall

On our vacation week off we had our front sidewalk re-done during with some awesome pavers and re-did the landscaping, I'm hoping I can figure out how to post some pics in the next few days!

Friday - work from home, pick up DD#2 early, get DD#1 off the school bus, and then head to DH's school for a carnival/BBQ.. should be fun.

Saturday - clean the house while my parents are visiting with the girls, mow/clean up front flower beds, grocery shop, dinner with DH's parents.

Sunday - laundry, meal prep, maybe the zoo if it isn't raining, get 3 throw pillow covers quilted for DD#1's teachers as thank you gifts, relax.

  • Friday-Working only a half day since I've already hit 40 hours, doing a yoga class, and picking up my number for a race this weekend

Saturday-There's a big, free arts festival in our city that we'll go check out.  I've also got some major weeding to do.

Sunday-Road race in the morning, then relaxing!  Woohoo!
  • No real concrete plans.  We were supposed to go camping, but I had forgotten that H's sister, mom, and nephew were coming this weekend.  His other nephew is flying to Florida to spend 2 months with his dad, so his sister etc., decided to just stay with us for the whole weekend after taking him to the airport.  So just hanging out with them, our neighbor is having a BBQ on Saturday so we'll go over to that.

Nothing. H is on call for work so we really don't have plans to go anywhere since he needs to be close to his computer and the office. I'm hoping this is the weekend we finally buy some landscape rock so we can finish re-doing our front yard. Tonight I'm getting together with my mom and sister and niece and having a girls night with wine and Chinese take-out.
  • Not much, plan-wise.  Which is kind of how I prefer it.

I'm thinking about going to Harrahs buffet tonight because, in June on Fridays, they include chargrilled oysters.  I have a coupon for two free buffets until the 15th so either this Friday or next.  If you've never had chargrilled oysters, they are insanely delicious and cooked in a garlic-butter sauce.  Most restaurants sell them for $12/half dozen or $22/dozen.  So free and unlimited is pretty exciting for me, lol.

On the not so fun side, I need to go on a big shopping trip to Walmart after work.  Another trip to Costco/Winn Dixie on Saturday.  Plus drive past a house not on the market yet (thanks my awesome agent).

  • Tonight: No plans.  H is home this week, so he's making dinner.  It will be nice to not have to figure something out, nor cook it.

Tomorrow: Morning run, Weight Watchers meeting, grocery shopping, then getting things done around the house before Saturday evening church service.

Sunday: Putting both toy cars in the local car show.  Also hitting up the fire departments pancake breakfast fundraiser after registering the cars (just 3 blocks away).  It will be our first time doing the car show thing with DD.  So it will either go fine, or be meltdown city.

  • Tonight we have a big fundraising event at a city three hours away, so I'll be working that tonight and then driving back with a few colleagues tomorrow. H has been working out of town this week and won't fly back until late, so we aren't really missing an evening together. Otherwise, no plans the rest of the weekend!

  • Tonight we'll be grilling and eating on the deck. I can't wait to enjoy our new patio set. We're both working tomorrow, then I have an appointment for a haircut, and a birthday party for a couple of friends' kids. Sunday we'll be prepping for painters coming out on Monday for an estimate. I'm hoping they're reasonable enough that we can afford to do all the rooms we want done. We'll see, though. Our biggest projects in the house will be done after painting, so I really have my fingers crossed on reasonable pricing.

Well H is en route to the beach for a "work trip" without me, so...

Friday: I will watch a girly movie with the cats and probably have pizza and ice cream

    Saturday: errands, studying, some shopping

Sunday: more of the same from Saturday.

I reminded H that the last time he went to the beach "for work" he came home to find that we had adopted a new kitten.  Who knows what will happen this time around.

Every single time H goes out of town for work I tell him he's going to come home to another dog in the house. So funny you actually did it! Haha. I love it.
  • Tonight - something low key - probably just going out to get something for dinner

Saturday - in the early afternoon we are going to MILs for lunch and bday celebration for 3 of us in the family.  They also want to go over end of life details for them with the family so we know who gets what and all their wishes.  They finally got wills done a few weeks ago - they've been married 6 years and hadn't done it yet.  Then in the late afternoon I am going about an hour out of town to play a wedding.

Sunday - not totally sure - in the late afternoon I'm playing another wedding in town plus an hour of their dinner time.
