Friday - Taking our older cat to the vet for her annual shots (poor thing doesn't know what's coming).  Work, then going to one of H's coworker's house for cocktails and dinner tonight.  It's a recruiting event for his firm.

Saturday - Studying (for me), and then helping H till up a 13'x16' space in our back yard.  He is going to install a new patio back there with fire pit.  I'm skeptical.

Sunday - More studying, and finishing up leveling the lawn.  Next weekend we will spread gravel and sand to get the base prepped for patio bricks.  Ugh.

  • Tonight - Fundraising event for the organization where I serve on the board.

Saturday and Sunday - Coffee walks both days, yard work on one and a much needed trip to Costco (down to one roll of TP - yikes!)

@formerlyjessica490 What are you Craig's Listing?  I recently put some stuff on eBay and would love to make some more money on stuff that we're not using.  Any suggestions?  Tips?

Friday - work from home, homemade pizza, California Closets is coming for the linen closet in our upstairs bathroom- see if they can create some sort of built-in (Home Depot was $$$).

Saturday- vacuum/dust while my parents are visiting the girls, soil/mulch for the front yard, grocery shop, return stuff at target/ON, dinner with DH's parents.

Sunday - laundry, meal prep, clean out master closet for donations, relax for Monday.

Update on California Closets: They were surprisingly reasonable and had exactly what we needed for our linen closet. We'll be putting the deposit down today on it- it's going to look great! Total cost installed will be 33% less than Home Depot's quote (and that did not include installation).

I just sold a 3 piece white bathroom furniture set in great condition and a nice wooden directors chair= $100. I have some things active still such as some barely used roller blades, humidifiers, my wedding dress, some wall art/décor, and a lemonade set. I just listed everything last Sunday. I also have 2 A/C units to list but my dad said to post them just before a heat wave comes. What I've noticed in the past is if you post "junk" you will have a hard time selling it. I have the best response when things are newer and in good condition (I clean them to death and we take care of our belongings). Price is also a big deal. I compare the quality of what I am selling with prices for items that are already listed. I also compare to prices for similar items that could be bought brand new. People like stuff for cheap so getting "some" money is better than nothing at all if it just sits in the basement unused so I don't post crazy hight prices. We don't have a lot of old junky stuff, but it amazes me the literal trash that people post online to make money....

Friday - Braves vs. Cubs with some old work colleagues and DH. GO BRAVES!! Do not even care how futile this sentiment is...

Saturday - Early morning (hopefully) so we can go buy some landscaping stone and do the retention wall in our front garden island. Then we'll meet up with my parents and my niece (they are babysitting) and take everyone to the botanical gardens for some live music, drinks, and food. We have two free guest passes on our annual membership so it'll be a fairly cheap date night.

Sunday - We're taking some dear friends out for dim sum (Chinese brunch). One of our friends was recently told he needed to bring his father back to the US (he's in China) because the family overseas can't care for him anymore. So we're there to offer some support and love because they're definitely heading in to some tough financial and emotional waters.
  • Friday - Maybe making a short trip down to my parent's retirement house as my uncle is stopping by.

Saturday - getting the new a/c unit installed which will also finally fix my third floor cooling issues and rough in some ducting for an unfinished room that I hope to finish this winter.

Sunday - Driving up to Philadelphia for a visa appointment at the Italian consulate on Monday.

Friday - Not a whole lot.  H gets his infusion treatments (ie chemo) for his Crohn's today and he's usually pretty wiped out after that, so we'll probably just order a pizza and hang out.

Saturday - Starting vacation prep!  We leave next Wednesday to go out to western CO to a country music festival.  We're there until Monday, and it's dry camping about 30 minutes outside of town, so we try to bring in as much as we can.  H has already started getting the camper ready, and I've got to start grocery shopping.  In the afternoon he mentioned he might want to go to an RV show, which are always fun.  My mom flies in late Saturday night.  It's cheaper for us to fly her here than it is to pay a dog sitter/kennel for our two pups, and she gets a free vacation out if it since my car will be here for her to use and she has a sister and a cousin who live close.  My brother's also joining her later on next week.

Sunday - Reserving the day to hang out with mom, I haven't seen her since our wedding in September.  She likes to sleep in, so we'll probably go to lunch, and then shopping, I need some new shorts for our trip, then we're going up to my BFF's house so my mom can see her baby (who is almost 1, how does that happen?) and have dinner.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear about your H...hope it goes well.....
  • We're heading to DH's 15-year college reunion all weekend. It will be great to see old friends; I love his college friends and am close with many of their wives. They tend to be a wild bunch and it will be interesting to watch the shenanigans stone-cold sober.

You'll have to share pictures of this project!  It sounds awesome.  Tilling up sod, however, has got to be one of my least favorite landscaping tasks ever.  Grass is so hard to keep healthy, but then when you want to get rid of it it's impossible to kill.

Yeah I'm not sure what has gotten into him.  I think it's going to look good once all is said and done, but he's been on this DIY tear since early February, and it hasn't let off yet.  The patio idea is a much bigger project than anything else he has tackled though.   Not going to lie, I'm hoping it kind of wipes him out temporarily... I need a weekend off!

Thanks!  He goes every 7 weeks and has been for the past 10ish years, so he's used to it, but it still definitely wipes him out.
