Last night's John Oliver

He took on the whole fiduciary/fees subject. There is lots of swearing but totally worth the watch. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gvZSpET11ZY

And this is the Frontline that they reference and very good. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/retirement-gamble/
  • I LOVE John Oliver - I just wish I wasn't an old lady so I could stay up late on Sundays to watch it. I can't wait to watch it tonight!

Didn't watch this one yet but last week's episode about the buying and selling of debt was pretty interesting.
  • I love that show so much. We watched it last night, and it was super helpful for having H understand my obsession with index funds.

Same! I usually get all riled up when I watch the show, but this episode was all things I already knew - husband was pretty shocked though. A few hours later he apparently was still thinking about it and said "so....there is an entire industry that makes millions of dollars and literally just screws people. I hate people." hahaha

It also reminded me to clean up my rollover IRA yesterday - when I moved it from the 401k I still had some high fee funds leftover and just kept forgetting to call Fidelity and get rid of them and put that money into the index instead, but it's finally fixed now!
