Re: TTC/3T Check-in

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey?  7 years and 7 months or something like that.

Any testing coming up? nope! We're still saving for IVF right now :)

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I put in for a promotion at work but haven't heard anything yet. Also, about to launch my LuLaRoe shop so if anyone is interested, just shoot me a PM and I'll link you the FB group :) Otherwise, everything is "business as usual" in my life!

QOTW: Tell us about your honeymoon! Bonus points for pics We went to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica and it was awesome! We went just a couple months after it opened so they were actually still working on the grounds. It was still fantastic though. We hope to go back again sometime. We had originally hoped to go for our 10 year anniversary, but it didn't happen. Maybe we'll make it for our 15th lol

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

Any testing coming up? If no AF by Monday (unlikely), I have to call back and make an appointment to go in for more bloodwork. And get Provera. I might POAS just because tomorrow morning...
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I got my baseline bloodwork back yesterday when I called the RE. With the exception of an elevated liver function and no immunity to rubella (both of which I need to follow up with my PCP for), everything was normal. Like, right smack in the middle of normal. Pretty much my body is screwing with me and doesn't want to work. I have no idea if this means PCOS or not. WTF. My AMH was 3.84. I wish my RE had been available to talk...what does it mean?!

I also am pretty sick. I am pretty much subsisting on DayQuil and NyQuil so I can breathe and function. I really don't need this right now (although the lack of appetite could be a good thing so I don't eat my feelings).

I got back yesterday from a work trip and both dogs have been all up in my grill since I got back. Jasper, the older one who has become less needy with the new one around (Amber), slept on me last night. It's good to know I was missed. :) DH said that Jasper was more needy while I was gone. As was Amber. Awwwww...
QOTW: Tell us about your honeymoon! Bonus points for pics. We went on a southern Caribbean cruise from Puerto Rico to St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Antigua, and Barbados. It was DH's first cruise ever and we had a blast drinking and celebrating. :) (I suck at posting pics on here, so if we're FB friends, I have a 300+ picture album there of our honeymoon.)
    Anniversary
    Married: 10/13/2013

  • @RockABye - good luck on the promotion!!! I'm trying to not spend much money right now (saving for our own next IF treatment), but keep me posted on the LuLaRoe shop! I love the stuff that I bought from Bruins sale!

@lfk2013 - I know it doesn't feel possible, but FX that POAS is + tomorrow AM. <3 Sorry I don't have any thoughts about the lab stuff. Maybe the other PCOS ladies can pop in and give you their thoughts? Hope you feel better soon!

Where are you at in your TTC journey?  4 yrs 3 mo

    Any testing coming up?
Not now. Just need H's ID labs before next chapter.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
Last week, I got a bonus that I was not expecting (two over the past month, actually, but different jobs). That gave our savings a nice boost, so H and I had a serious talk about when we can realistically afford to move forward. We decided that my birthday (Sept. 19th) will be the day we pick our donor, and get the process started. Feels good to have that officially on the calendar. :) We also are scheduled for pre-donor egg recipient counseling/therapy session next month. I know H is not looking forward to that, but I'm hoping it helps change his mind about how we address the use of donor eggs with our future kiddos.

    QOTW:
We went to Belize and loved every minute (except for the traveler's diarrhea - sorry for TMI!). We actually started our open water scuba certification at home, and then finished it out there. Ah-mazing! We did lots of diving, zip lining, cave tubing, and visited Mayan ruins. We can't wait to someday make it back! I like the 10 year anniversary idea, RAB!

  • @lfk2013 my numbers were always pretty normal too. That's what's weird about PCOS-- we are all different. There really isn't a standard. I think mine is pretty severe based on the extreme we went through to have a successful pregnancy, and based on body hair growth and weight gain/inability to lose weight. But it is so different for everyone. No news here. I'll call the dr this week and start bc pills to quiet my ovaries. IVF Round 5 now begins..... I will get my disability stuff started next week so that I can make arrangements for dr appointments.

    1 year into 2.0

    Any testing coming up?
    Nope

Well we had another CP last week.  Agh. Had positive tests Wednesday and Thursday, had some spotting then a few clots Thursday night, and a negative Test on Friday.  Went in for bloodwork and my HCG level was at 1.  My progesterone level was where it needed to be though, so that was a plus.

We really aren't sure what we want to do from here.  The OB pretty much told us that in order for him to know what's going on, we need to do a monitored cycle.  Since my cycles are on the longer side even though they've been shorter than usual with the PCOS diet and Metformin, he would still rather do Clomid to get more aggressive and get me ovulating in a more timely manner. He thinks this will give me a stronger ovulation than what's been happening.  We do know that my body responded well to it last time, so that's at least a positive.
I'm just not sure about doing a cycle with the OB.  He went over the monitoring list with me and it lines up with what the RE had told us, but we can do it with the OB for significantly less money.  H would like to take this cycle to try on our own again, but if that's a dud then I think we're going to really consider moving forward.

We went to Secrets resort in Punta Cana.  We absolutely loved it.  A week of relaxation, drinking, and lots of sex.
We were there when hurricane Isaac was off the coast, so that made for a couple of rainy days and the water was so choppy that we couldn't get in.  We really didn't care though.
Here's a few picture, if they loaded right.

  • Sorry about your CP, @brij2006.

On my front, BFFN. :( Blood work was negative as well, so I've started Provera again so they can get to the CD3 bloodwork and ultrasound. After that I will have an official diagnosis. They are still thinking PCOS. My biggest concern at the moment is that I will start AF the week I have big meetings and am really busy at work (even though it's about 2 weeks away). I don't know what to do if that happens (and knowing my luck, it will).
