Re: TTC/3T Check-in

  • TTC #2

I have an ultrasound and bloodwork on Tuesday, and then will hopefully start bc pills.  If all goes as planned, FET will be in September.

We know that our frozen embryo is a boy (we did genetic testing due to my history).  His name, I think, will be Benjamin (Ben).  Of course that could change.  Middle name is TBD.  I would like Joseph, Morgan, Andrew or Trey.  Joseph and Morgan are family names, I just like Andrew, and Trey is "third" which I think is appropriate for our third boy.

I really hope this works... I'm already a little attached to this embryo.  Knowing a sex is wild and changes things... it all becomes so real.
    Formerly iloveredvino.

Started TTC in 2010, dx PCOS
August 2012 - baby boy born still
IUIs and IVF blah blah blah
    IVF #1 - miscarriage
    FET#1 - BFN
    FET#2 - BFN
IVF#2 - froze all embryos for genetic testing
    FET#1 Round 2 - Baby Boy born in 2015
    FET#2 Round 2 - CP/BFN
Started the domestic infant adoption process - Oct 2016

  • @ilovewhitevinotoo Everything is crossed for you.  Um, and Trey is an awesome and fitting name. Just saying. ;-)

Still TTC#2. I'm on CD12, so I'll start OPK's tomorrow. The last couple of cycles I've O'd on CD25 and CD20, so hopefully I can get a definitive positive this cycle.
Otherwise just still going with the Metformin and B-complex vitamin to hopefully help things.

Names that are on our list are these:
Girl: Kyla Corrine, Lilly Ann, and Audrey
Boy: Tanner James, Grant Edward, and Breton
My brothers' name was Brent William, so if we have a boy we would like to try and get a bit of his name in there somewhere. Our moms both also have the same middle name of Ann, so we'd like to try and get that into a girls name somewhere. I'm all for the boy name Grant.  H fights pretty hard for Tanner for a boy. So yeah, our kid won't be named till it's 10.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle 5, CD51
Any testing coming up? Either I'll start AF soon or will POAS. I NEED this cycle to end so I can do CD3 testing. I'm just over all the baby announcements lately from people that were barely starting. Knife to gut.
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) Well, yeah. Monday we went wine tasting and picnicking for the 4th. I had no more to drink than I've had in the past, an amount that I can tolerate and be functional. I have had the WORST reaction to the wine this time. I created my own fireworks Monday night and am still dealing with whatever happened. It is the weirdest thing, something that I'm getting a little more concerned about. This is a very unusual reaction for me, and DH has seen me drunk plenty of times. I'm not sure if it was just the wine or if it was something I also ate...but it is just bad this time. My worry is that because my liver function was off, that has exacerbated this whole situation (a problem I have NEVER had before). I really just want to feel normal. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better.

Other than Monday's really bad reaction, I apparently went off on DH (some of which I remember) about being unhappy. Unhappy that he's never around, unhappy that TTC is so difficult for us because I'm pretty sure I'm all effed up. I never meant to unload on him, but I've been holding that in for a while. Not a smart move, self.

So, all around, I'm not having a good week so far.
QOTW: Future baby names? Any that are officially OFF the table (by you or YH)? Why? We do have a boy's name (I think) - Dylan Odell. DH wants to name a girl Catherine - which is fine, but at this point in time, I would rather not because of what happened with my MIL Memorial Day weekend. We can use it for a middle name. Right now, I'm loving Elizabeth Carol for a girl. But I'm pretty sure this whole thing will be negotiable when that time actually comes.

  • @ilovewhitevinotoo - Love Benjamin Trey, too!  ;)

@lfk2013 - As always, big hugs to you! I'm no expert, but I think your liver function would have to be seriously abnormal for you to have symptoms after drinking alcohol. I'm guessing it was more likely due to something you ate. Hope you're feeling better now!

AFM - No new updates. Still TTC NTNP/3T #1 (4 yrs 4 mo). Working hard and saving up. Plan is still to pick donor on B-day in September. I joined another online message board a couple weeks ago. A little annoyed that you have to pay to join, especially since it seems to have lost most of its membership once they started charging. That being said, a lot of the archives have the info that I'm looking for, and the admin seem pretty responsive when others have asked questions. I guess that's all you can ask for.  :-?

Girl names - Violet Kimberly, Amelia Lynn...

It's weird, but I still can't think about boys' names. We had such long discussions about names for Lincoln, and had barely agreed on his name before we lost him. We've talked about girls' names recently as we get ready to move forward again, but there's been no discussion for a boy. I guess we'll cross that road if/when we get to it.

  • @FutureMrsWright2012 -- Did you know Reba or Bubs who posted here long ago? They both went the donor egg route and might be able to answer questions.
