Re: TTC/3T Check-in

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Month 3, CD 5

Any testing coming up? no but I did get some OPKs in the mail a couple days ago.  I need to read the instructions and I plan to test them out this month :)  We've been pretty busy and I think we aren't doing the deed as much as we should so I want to be more proactive this month.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)  Just spent Monday and today getting DH's business moved from his old place into the new one - moving is exhausting!!  He's a photographer.  I'm just so glad its over and he only has 1 place to worry about now.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules):  DD starts Kindergarten in a week and I'm freaking out about the change of schedule or basically having to be on a schedule now - lol.  I'm SAHM and work my own business part time so we have been use to what we've been doing the last 5 years.  I'm just trying to figure out how our evenings are going to not be so busy or mine I should say. Between yoga and teaching private music lessons I'm going to try and figure out how to teach mainly earlier in the days during her school time which means I should try and get some home schooled kids for lessons since they usually come in the morning or afternoon vs. evening.
  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle #6, CD33

Any testing coming up? Continued OPKs and temping. DH has his SA on Friday. Good thing I'm house/dog-sitting for my parents' the rest of the week...

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I started Metformin last Friday. I know changes don't happen overnight, but I want changes to happen overnight! LOL. I have noticed that my OPKs are getting darker. I'm used to the second line staying really light, so this is something. We'll see if anything else happens.

Non-TTC related: DH & I have decided to go to NYC for our anniversary this year. The last time I went I was 10. I can't wait! I will definitely be off the eating plan that weekend.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules): I got my mom addicted to LuLaRoe. All those independent consultants she's now buying from should give me free stuff. :)
    Anniversary
    Married: 10/13/2013
    TTC #1: Mirena removed 5/26/2015; DH - normal SA, me - diagnosed with PCOS 8/4/2016 - on Metformin;
    BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017
  • I have my SIS (saline infusion sonogram) tomorrow.  Ick.  It basically looks inside my uterus to make sure everything looks ok.  I'm kind of annoyed that I have to do some of these tests - because they're expensive and time consuming, and dude, I've now had 2 pregnancies.  But, whatever.  H had to do HIV testing which was annoying since we already have an embryo and he isn't involved in this at all (lol), so whatever, I guess we both have to do things that don't make sense to us.

Aaaaaanyway.  I'm on birth control now as part of my FET protocol, but don't start other meds until the end of this month.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey?

    Month 14, I think.

    Any testing coming up?
Took an OPK this morning.  I hate PCOS. It's almost positive but for a normal person would still be negative.  It's the same shade the one was last month that I took a day before O.  So I'm just noting it on FF and we'll see what my temp does.
Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
I have every single sign that I'm going to O today or tomorrow.  Yay!  This would put cycle #2 in a row where I O on CD17.  It's so weird and abnormal for me.  We DTD last night and I let H know about the signs today and we might go for it again tonight or tomorrow.
FFC/AW of the Week (no rules):
We had decided to NTNP for a couple of months after the CP but now that my body is acting like it's wanting to work, we are taking it on a day by day basis.  We've been seeing a counselor and our pastor since the CP. It's been rough.  I didn't realize how hard this has been on H lately and how much 3T was affecting us and our marriage.  He's so much more into the process now though and that's really nice.  Yet (FFC) equally annoying.  He wants to know all the details.  TMI: He made the comment last night that I'm having eggwhite CM so I must be close to ovulation.  Um, this was right after ST.  Dude, mood killer.

  • You guys...I think I had a positive OPK this morning. I looked at yesterday's versus today's. Definite increase in darkness...and it's the darkest OPK I've seen since we started TTC. I've been all kinds of twingy down there, plus (TMI) my nipples are really sensitive. I'm going to do the CB OPK this evening, along with another Wondfo and see what they say. If this is the truth, I am a little excited that my body is working.

  • @lfk2013 Yay! Yay! Yay!  Get your baby dancing on!

I had a positive one yesterday then a temp spike this morning.  What's with these PCOS girls actually getting positive OPK's this week?

This is so great!  Hoping you are O'ing :)  I ended up buying a pack of CB OPKs just for this month.  Since I really don't know the day I ovulate I already started peeing on them yesterday.
  • It's weird...this morning, negative on both the cheapies and the CB. My temp did climb, but hasn't gone waaaaay up. I don't get it.

  • @lfk2013 I stalked your chart.  PCOS is a weird breed, but if your temp stays up from here, FF will most likely put O day as a few days ago.
It's hard for FF to determine when O is for someone with a rocky chart.  It sucks, but there's been months I get a coverline almost a week after actual ovulation.
Even though this sucks to say, but just keep temping and see what your temps decide to do.  FWIW mine usually do a dip then a slow climb after ovulation.  So it's not a definitive jump in temp for me either.
