Re: TTC/3T Check-in

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle 3, CD 20

Any testing coming up? Nope.  I stopped doing OPKs for the month after I got my positive on CD 14 and i never pregnancy test unless I miss a period.  We got busy on CD 14 and 15.  I only got 1 positive test - I though you were to get 2 but at least it happened.  I did notice a lot more CM that day then right away the next day no CM so hopefully we had good timing.  It only took 1 month to get pregnant with DD 5.5 years ago so I'm curious how long it will take this time.  Now that I kinda know what time of the month I O now if we don't get pregnant this month we should also go for it the day before.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)  Nothing much really.  Catching up on deep cleaning the house now that DD is in K all day.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules): I don't really have any this week - not much is going on.  DH's studio is almost completed - hoping by mid Sept he gets partial occupancy so he can unpack all the boxes that are stored there and start working out of it.
  • Where are you at in your TTC journey?
    Month 15

    Any testing coming up?
Took a HPT this morning at 13DPO.  BFN.  My chart looks really good though.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)
Not sure if this is a good or a bad, but we finally scheduled an appointment with the RE.  We're ready for some answers or at least some options.  We live in BFE so the nearest RE is 2 hours away, but they have a satellite campus an hour from us and not too far from H's work.  The negative to it being the only option within a 100 mile radius is they're booked out 2 months.  So our intake appointment isn't until October 25th.
We're okay with it though.  If my body keeps having somewhat decent cycles, we'll just continue doing what we're doing and cross our fingers that we won't need the appointment.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules):
I made chocolate zucchini cake with chocolate crackle frosting and I've proceeded to eat half of it within 2 days.  Oops.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle 6, CD48, 13 DPO

Any testing coming up? Considering I started spotting today and expect AF in full force tomorrow or Saturday, I won't use OPKs until probably CD10. Multiple BFNs this cycle. I probably won't test again tomorrow unless the spotting stops (which I doubt).

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) I'm just happy my body worked on its own this cycle after only taking Metformin for 8 days before O. I knew we had pretty bad timing this cycle because of DH's SA.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules): I'm addicted to 60 Days In. So glad it's back on.

@brij2006 & @lfk2013 - Sorry about the BFN's, but yay that both of you seem to be having more regular cycles with the changes you've made!

No 3T updates for me... Still pushing forward with plan to pick donor 9/19.

Non-3T related... H just found out today that he got a new job! Good news is that it will be full-time with amazing benefits and opportunities for growth. Bad news is that it means we won't be moving to PNW as soon as we had previously hoped. :( He'll need to stay here in SW to get a few certifications and experience. At least that's the plan... for now!

  • @FutureMrsWright2012 - noooooooooooooooo to the delay in moving!
@brij2006 - Hope you don't need that appointment, but I am glad it is scheduled.
@lfk2013 - how is the Metformin treating you?  I remember being so sick on it.

I'm a month away from FET!  I start the big injections a week from today... ick.  I hate them.  I'm nervous but hopeful, and can't stop thinking about it.  Or you know, obsessing.  I am sure I'm not the only one here who can relate to that.  :)

At the end of this, I'll have done 2 fresh cycles and 5 frozen.  Does anyone here know anything about long term effects of fertility drugs?  I'm not sure about our future, and wondered about that.

  • @ilovewhitevinotoo - The Metformin hasn't been too bad. There have been a couple of times that I took it on an emptier stomach which caused some issues, but that's been about it. As long as I take it on a full stomach, I seem to be handling it ok. However, I haven't even been taking it for a month, so who knows if something will develop over time. It could also be the dose I'm on.

  • @lfk2013 I found that after a few months of being on Met those side effects balanced out and it is no longer an issue.  Otherwise I was needing to be in the bathroom 10 minutes after taking it. Whether on an empty or full stomach.  Hopefully it balances out for you as well.
