car accident question

Hi Guys, do any of you know how the whole settlement  works after an auto accident with the attorneys and the insurance company? It was a rear-end accident by an un-insured motorist , happened in July, 17 chiro visits, attorneys are "apparently" waiting on bill from ER to move forward. just wondering what the next steps are and how long all of this takes

Re: car accident question

  • it can take a while - gathering up all the medical records and bills is a PITA and some hospitals take forever to send stuff out (speaking as a litigation paralegal who is the one doing the grunt work to get all that stuff).
  • It can definitely take a while.

Have you/are you able to file a claim under your own insurance in the meantime to pay out?
