Re: TTC/3T Check In

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? 4 yrs 6 mo.

We have selected our donor, but unfortunately are in a holding pattern. Our donor had her first ER for another couple last Monday. We haven't been told yet the results of her cycle and/or whether or not she is interested in continuing as donor. If she does agree to continue, there is another couple who apparently "reserved" her prior to us. All of their donors are in house, so the number of donors is limited. There isn't anyone else that we feel this strongly about, but we're watching for someone new to come along just in case. We've got the cash now, just waiting on the right donor. Hopefully, this week, we'll have more information.

Any testing coming up? Not yet...

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) We are heading to PNW this weekend to celebrate our little Lincoln and see H's family.

To add to our crazy stress of traveling out of town this weekend, H's new job this week, and our pending DE IVF, we've started house shopping. Yesterday, we looked at 7 places, and the lead contender has a guest house which we could rent out, but both the guest house and main house need a lot of work. We'll be meeting with a contractor and realtor again at that house tomorrow to learn whether our vision is realistic with the money we're willing/planning to spend.

    Have a great week all!

Where are you at in your TTC journey? cycle 4 and 9dpo

Any testing coming up? only if I miss AF which is due Oct 1 and I don't really notice any symptoms so my hopes are not high.

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..)  I went to an amazing yoga workshop over the weekend and learned all sorts of stuff I want to practice on my own today if I have time.

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules):  I've been feeling really negative lately about TTC so that is going to change.  I just purchased a bbt thermometer at target last night.  If I don't get BFP this month I'm going to temp and use FF.  I think I will feel better knowing that I'm for real O'ing and when that specific time is.
  • @ilovewhitevinotoo Good luck today!  So many things crossed for you.
@FutureMrsWright2012 So glad to hear that you have selected your donor!  Such an exciting thing to have that crossed off the list, but sorry you're in a holding pattern for now.

I tested yesterday at 12 or 13DPO (FF keeps changing it) and it was positive.  Now we're just keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into another chemical pregnancy or miscarriage.  I'm fighting back and forth with my OB since he seems to think it's unnecessary to run betas or progesterone, but we also hadn't met with the RE yet for her to know what has been going on with us.
So right now I think we're just stuck in the middle and hoping that nothing goes wrong. Which really makes me angry, but I don't know what else to do.

  • Where are you at in your TTC journey? Cycle 7, CD34, 14DPO

Any testing coming up? BFN this morning. :( Not surprised since our timing was bad, but it still sucks a little. If AF doesn't come in the next two days, I'll test again (but I doubt it since I started spotting today).

Anything good or bad happening? (TTC wise or just in life..) It's the end of the fiscal year and I am stressing out so much. I have to do all this stuff that I've never done before by Friday. I've had to cancel barre class this week until I'm done because I am so mentally exhausted when I get home that I can barely function.

Last weekend we went to CA for my grandfather's 80th birthday. It was so good to see him, if a very short visit. I am so lucky and grateful that he's still around, considering we almost lost him 7-ish years ago.

TTC-wise: It is what it is. I'm just happy that for two months in a row I have O'd on my own.

    BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017

  • @lfk2013 I started spotting today too :( onto cycle 5 for me soon. I'm going to start temping and give dh maca root. I'm just trying too keep positive. It doesn't help knowing my 6 months is soon and if it doesn't happen by then we will look into testing fertility.
  • @vlagrl29 - Temping is going to be a game changer...you'll see. Now that I know I have PCOS and am on medication to help, there is a DEFINITE temp change between before and after O.

  • I swear this TTC thing is a mind-f*** - I've been spotting brown for 5 days now.  I should have gotten AF today or yesterday.  There's 1 thing I can always count on and that is a very predictable cycle and that's not happening this month.  Today was very dark brown almost black which isn't normal for me.  I stopped taking the maca root yesterday.
