Re: What's on the menu? October 10, 2016
The rest of the week is up in the air. We have some frozen pork chops that we could use but we've had a lot of pork lately, so idk.
We also have a frozen turkey breast to use - does anyone have a good crockpot turkey breast recipe they wouldn't mind sharing?
Tuesday - Leftover pumpkin chili (hopefully!)
Wednesday - H and I are going to a spin class with his mom at 6 so we'll probably grab something already prepared from Wegmans
Thursday - Taco night
Friday - homemade pizzas
Saturday - we're going to the "grand opening" of a BBQ joint near our house - they've been open all summer but they're having a big party this weekend. I can't wait to eat delicious pulled pork and their smoked mac & cheese.
Sunday - Something in the crockpot, not sure what yet.
Monday - butternut squash and kale lasagna with garden salad
Tuesday - white chicken chilli in the crockpot
Wednesday - crockpot teriyaki chicken with rice and brocolli
Thursday - beet pesto, kale, mozzarella, goat cheese pizza
Friday - leftovers
Saturday - cookup any left over veggies from the week and eat with salmon
Tue: leftovers/random - busy night
Wed: chicken with zuchini, peppers, onions, etc
Thu: breakfast for dinner (my coworker has a commute but has a great little farm - love getting farm eggs from her!)
Fri: pizza night
Sat: not sure yet
Then I am projecting cereal for the rest of the week until Friday when we will have pizza.
I eat from the bottom of the food pyramid.
Tomorrow: Chicken Blue Apron meal for H, leftover eggplant curry and rice for me.
Wednesday: Out with a friend who's in town for a conference.
Thursday: Make-at-home pizza.
Friday: Probably a vegetable stir fry or fried rice
Saturday: Probably black bean burritos, but could vary depending on what veggies we get at the CSA Wednesday
End of the day I thought it was spendy as a regular thing but it seemed like definitely a fun thing to try out every once in awhile.
