Re: Weekend Plans?
Not much...but these are my favorite weekends!
Friday- Hopefully leaving work early today, gym
Saturday- go to Target
Sunday- Leaf pickup, laundry, grocery shopping, gym
If we don't do that I'll be very happy to stay home and watch tv.
Sat - Our German student is coming in the evening so we'll clean up around the house and get ready during the day. I have a short list of chores that I want to accomplish and would like to get into my Australia pictures. Weather should be good for some end of the season weeding. Couch potato at night, maybe multi tasking to look at recipes to try and find some new ones.
Sun - Friends (a family of three) that live the next state over (an hour away) will be in town. Mom and daughter are going to a show. Dad is going to come to our house and watch football while they are at the show and then we will all meet up after for dinner. We are looking forward to seeing them and having a relaxing day.
Might take the little one to a train show tomorrow, but kinda leaning against it. He's really into trains, but from what I can tell, there won't be any real trains, just models and kid sized trains. We'll see how I feel.
My sister-in-law from Thailand is going on a cruise in about a week and a half or so out of Florida. All expenses paid via some contest. We thought she was going to be able to make a loop up here to come see us, but no because of how the arrangements are structured. Been looking into trying to book it for me and the little one. I hate arranging last minute travel.
Have the money, but seriously?
Beyond that, maybe yard work if the weather cooperates and trying to hang a picture for the wife.
Today our pest exterminator is coming by. We heard chewing noises in the attic last week (just a few days after a routine pest inspection!). We couldn't find any droppings or nests but one of the sticky bug pads in the attic had definitely been chewed on around the edges. So here's hoping they can find the source of the problem today.
Saturday I have a list of projects for DH to do -he needs to finish putting up the new railing on our front porch, and build a step for the back porch. I plan on mowing the lawn, trimming the bushes, and doing some fall clean up. We're most definitely in a severe drought right now (some areas near me have a 17 in. rain deficit!) so I'm not planting anything or laying down new grass seed because it would basically be pointless. Just praying for a wet winter and spring at this point and hoping some of my established plants recover. I've been doing a once a week deep watering just to keep things alive but it seems like the sprinkler water doesn't do as much as a good rain shower.
Sunday we'll probably go to Costco to stock up on some fresh vegetables and a few other things. I also need to start planning for Thanksgiving.
Saturday - first weekend in awhile where I don't have a wedding! DH does though. MIL is taking DD after lunch which means I can catch up on more cleaning. It's deep cleaning time before the holidays hit. That night having dinner with the in laws.
Sunday - not much. My yoga studio is having some sort of event and they wanted me to be one of the arm balance demonstrators.
Tomorrow- we're going out to lunch, then I'm going to pick out my birthday pandora bead. Maybe we'll go to the show after that. That's going to be an expensive day, but we cancelled our actual trip, so I'm OK with it.
Sunday- grocery store, gym, clean the house. No meal prep, though since we're both off all week. We're also going to pick out paint for my office. It's going to be a great weekend!
Friday - wfh, get DD#1 off the school bus, homemade pizza night.
Saturday - dentist, more bathroom work, clean the house, grocery shop, dinner with DH's parents
Sunday - meal prep, laundry, football, relax
Friday - Took the dog and cat to the vet for their annual shots.
Saturday - Usual p/t Sat. morning job with H. Then had a quick merchandising gig at a grocery store. H came with me and did grocery shopping while I did my thing. Took the pup to the groomers. A new Petco opened near me and I had a 25% off coupon. She looks totally different after she's been trimmed down, lol. It takes a few days to get used to her new look. It's like, "Hmmm...you have Izzy's personality and sort of look like her. But are half the size!"
Sunday - Lazing around. Watched football. Picked up around the house. My H did a lot of laundry, did dishes, and prepped meals for the week.
